I like to think shangai final will repeat itself, but liquid will come out with 1st place this time.

Even though if liquid gets to semis they might meet VP, wich is rock solid atm.

VP got an easier path to the 3-0 compared to Secret if you look at the standings and they're getting the easier side of the bracket until semis.

i am pretty sure none of the teams on either side is easy path. going against liquid , newbee, ig , ig.v is as scary as going up against EG and OG. dont sleep on IG.v too. they also got shitty record in DAC group stages but got 4th at main event . technically, VP could lose 1 bo3 to IG.v and get out of the tournament and all this easier side harder side argument will collapse

Liquid is not much stronger than Newbee based on groups, if at all

DC, Thunderbirds, and EG all played against 2 3-x win teams for their losses, while Liquid lost against other 2-2 teams and only won again x-3 teams, but since game score is before opponent match win % in tiebreaks, Liquid is top seed because they 2-0'd weak teams

Newbee Liquid ia really hard to predict. But if Liquid is running the naga strat again, I'm gonna go with Liquid cause I don't think Newbee loves to get mass midases (only kpii iirc) so it doesn't matter if the game goes 40+ minutes

So I did a quick search on datdota, and it seems like Liquid and Newbee have only played one match since the post TI6 shuffle. Bo2 in the group stages of DAC where they tied.

I really want IG.V to win against VP just to show how dumb fuck the group stage is. VP muscling out the group and losing to underwhelming IG.V is a super great testament of how faulty this chicken coward stupid fuck no elimination group stage is.

and this Swiss-style clusterfuck?!?! wtf? VP got top seed by playing 2 opponent from one of the weakest region and against the weakest Chinese team. Meanwhile IG had to play against OG, EG, Secret.
