Yeah but thats not the mentality you should play with. If u want to win this, you need to be able to beat any team, at any Time. Winners bracket is like a reward, because you have to play less games. This format is nothing like that, you just get to chose your next Opponent.

Then again, there are most likely strong teams like EG and OG who will go 3-1. So teams would want to try their best to go 2-2 instead to avoid them.

But when strong teams don't give a fuck about their placements, group stages will be meaningless xD

Honestly it might just save you from one round of brackets. Which is kind of important since its 125k vs 62k prize.

Even with that in mind, it's not even remotely guaranteed. Top seeds should have a better reward than just choosing their opponent once.

The guarantee that you won't run into the other top seed is reward enough imho

I wouldn't mind it if they reseeded the brackets for each round. So the top seed of the group plays the team with the worst seed in each round. It would make the seeding more meaningful. Now a bottom team can basically turn the group stage around with one single win and take the bracket path of a top seeded team.
