His built-in Terrasque-like regen and is what seems really broken for me. While it's been nerfed to reduce its uptime, those 2 games have shown he's still extremely tanky and strong. Not to mention he can farm like crazy and gift aghs. If you watched them play around the Alch, you'd see that they just stand behind the Alch to siege much like they did around Miracle-'s SF waiting to counter initiate. Also, if you also cared to watch their Naga games, instead of just saying Naga is a shit hero, you'd see that they don't really use sleep to disengage but instead they choose to use the sleep to set up the some fights. In DAC it was with an Enigma and in this major it was with a Disruptor. I don't know about you, so much teamwork and coordination comes into pulling off a combo with sleep. I've seen so many teams try and pull it off and fail miserably. Even OG botched it many times during the series against Random. But okay, you can hate on Alch & Naga on OG because hating on those heroes is the cool and popular thing to do. I don't really post here much but it's gotten to a point where people will just hate on a team because of the heroes they use. If the heroes are that OP/broken then everyone would be picking it and have an extremely good win rate on it. With that being said, I'm an OG fan but it's been frustrating for me to watch them keep going back to the same old strategies when their backs are against the wall because I always felt like they had the more versatile players and they haven't really executed much on their "other" strats. OG are not versatile. Haven't been for a while. It's a problem with their mid and safelaners who are so stagnant in hero picks, or bad as laners that they need these specific heroes that the players know how to recover/play on. The amount of pressure on S4, Jerax and fly needed to allow nobrain and ana to play a game of dota 2 is crazy. While I think Ana is limited, I always thought Notail had very interesting builds on heroes that he likes to play in the safelane. Now he's just stuck playing Naga/Alch and trying with an Arc Warden. In DAC I liked how he had played some TB (illusion hero lol), Troll and even that Eul & Aghs Bloodseeker against Faceless. I think I heard/read somewhere he's one of the players with most different heroes played in a pro dota? That could also be because he used to be a support. Yeah, notail has always been very creative, but he performs way better on TB and Naga and some other specific heroes than let's say RTZ or Resolution.
Ana is a really good recovery player but his laning is NOT at the level of the top mids. Hell, one would think that s4 would be the perfect practice partner for mid. His voker and alchemist are really good, but otherwise it's quite mediocre. The TA play we saw earlier was helped by monkey quite a lot, and his SF is quite shaky when he doesn't start with 17 denies.
Honestly fuck do I know. All that I do know is that their playstyle is not something people should cheer for (except if one believes them winning will lead to nerfs).

I agree with you, but i think people are just mad when a team is so good with certain strats, no one plays around Alchemist as OG do, the Naga strat i think it's a lot thanks to s4 to implement in OG, i don't recall them playing a lot around it when there was Miracle, but yea, it may become a problem in the future not to develop new strats... looks like they came at this Major with Arc Warden strat but it isn't working so far so they had to go back to comfort zone.
I believe they ran it quite a bit even with Miracle-. I even felt that it was a lot more boring then. I always thought Fly had a habit of picking an out of the meta hero they felt like they could excel in because people didn't know how to deal with it and ride it until it got banned opening up some of the more OP heroes of the meta. They did this a lot in HoN and I felt like they did it too during DAC with Visage until it got figured out, of course. Arc Warden is that hero for them this major but it just isn't working out.

OG the individual players might have a wide hero pool.
OG as a team love mostly using naga/alch strats.
Can't blame them since it works. Also can't blame me for hating them cause fuck alch games.

His laning is really subpar and I always thought he'd be able to improve by now. I still find it hard to believe he has the second highest mmr in the world atm. OG tends to sack the mid lane but he shouldn't be beaten by THAT much. I guess it's also because they feel like he always recovers well. I never really liked his Invoker but I feel like he shines on Ember and Storm.
I guess their playstyle is not for everyone. I could see why people call it boring. It's not flashy, just safe objective based Dota with them knowing when their timings are and when they're at their weakest. I can see they tried to do the same one core lineup with SF as main guy to siege against Random but of course it didn't work well with heroes like Lina and Batrider who thrive against single core lineups.

I'm ready to cheer for faceless and this new DC at once. Double the disappointment hype
