No second chances, you want to be playing against the worst performing teams. picking weakest enemy is obvious, but in the end Faceless did knocked liquid out in DAC upsets happens anytime anywhere, no need to wait for the knock out stage
for example in Boston major LGD fought hard 4-0 not dropping a single game in group stage, only to got knocked out by bottom of group A LGD.FY with 0-4 with not a single game won.

I'm still salty haw Dota 2 tournament chicken out to not eliminate teams in the group stage This has potential to for some crazy upsets. However, the best team should still win. If lets say IG loses to SG/Faceless that would be a travesty, but you could just argue that they should have been more prepared and if they were truly deserving of the championship they would have won.
this is exactly what I mean. I'm so tired looking at "EG day 1". they knew group stage means nothing, just toy around and get at least upper bracket in the final day. It does have interesting game and funky draft, but I always watch it with a pinch of salt knowing this means nothing anyway.

A team like EG might not be all that worried about this format, since they're used to learning during the tournament and getting better with each successive game, but I'm pretty worried for Newbee. They really did not look all that good yesterday.
Also, shoutouts to LD (TL?) Power Rank. lol. But I used to follow BW on TL so I'm kinda used to this hehe.

I don't want to count out TNC, but VP's getting a pretty comfortable road to 3-0.

Ramzes dissolving into the chair in front of the nice grill :D
Marc Polo Luis Fausto - best name in the majors??

Yeah. But I also feel like VP is the 2nd strongest out of the current top 4, so that's ok. Secret is on fire but VP's individual skill is higher than theirs overall IMO.

eg has an impressive lack of synergy with troll ult

Kaka is misplaying a lot.
Maybe he doesn't think Magnus will solo RP him but when he rolls like that he mispositions himself too far away from his team to save him.

Why even attempt to fight into ravage EG? Could've just farmed the lanes

That was a terrible call by Sumail after the RP
|
Virtus plooow, dat teamfight!!!

idk why tobi and merlini are surprised by the RP
there was literally a SB pickup before the push and TNC had no sentry

Tims is truly on the same level as the other ES greats.

Some things don't change.
1. EG day 1 2. Faceless dominating SEA 3. Faceless being shit in international LANs 4. IGV being shit in LANs outside of China 5. Tims is a god on ES

mate should add in, tims is a god on es : )

Would be funny if TNC did so well just to match against Faceless in playoffs.

Pretty inspired, hmm?

Newbee lost their first rax bot.
I still maintain Sccc needs to play a position 1.
His Lina farms well and he rarely dies but he doesn't sacrifice himself for his teammate like OP does.
|
It's not that uncommon to find mid excelling at pos 1 these days. It's finding carry players that are capable of playing more of a sacrificial role which is the problem.
