However, I have heard that their middle player currently calls their in game moves & strategies. That could explain why they're keeping him. my guess would be that they keep him becasue they are theb est team in china right now. but you must be right Any team has room for improvement and "best team in China" isn't that big of an achievement given the last 10 months. Yeah man, winning a tournament with same teams as a major attending is pretty meaningless. Except they didn't win any such tournament. And even in case they win this one, that's one in thirteen.

the game is still super close.

He can't even predict the right team more than half the time The key is to throw out so much bullshit that something you say has to be right eventually --- Game looking decent for EG now though the Clinkz's lack of farm could be problematic Everyone who knows anything about Dota in this thread agree that Ehome's middle player is mediocre/bad. Only the people who only care about "disagreeing with Azarkon" think otherwise. you still dont understand how ehome works as a team. not every team needs a player like miracle or sumail in mid Personally I don't think that Ehome needs a miracle or suma1l to work. oldchicken could be the best fit. But that does not exclude the fact that oldchicken is not as mechanically good as his peers. thats what i mean My understanding is that you were disputing the assessment that oldchicken is bad. Were you acknowledging that assessment, but disputing the point that old chicken should be replaced because of it? i would probably call him decent and not bad
and yes i dont see why you need the best player on every position for a team to be one of the best. just look at newbee at ti4. sansheng and banana are solid/decent supports that worked well with their two aggressive core players

so basically no team has done something 'meaningful'.

So which teams have 'meaningful' accomplishments since the last TI, then?

That's why you need a middle player who isn't bad, because when your off player has to play Enchantress to carry, that isn't going to work in the late game.
