It won't be "fixed", because it's now a part of the game. Like many things before it. Neutral creep stacking? That was an unintended bug from the start that was kept because it was a mechanic that was liked. Many of the 'features' that you nowadays see as a part of dota started as an unintended bug, just like fountain hooks. It won't go away, just like stacking didn't. the hook itself won't be fixed, but the visual problem is very much a bug. there's a reason why valve stopped navi from using it further, as well as only showcasing one of those hooks as a highlight. if it was such a play i'm sure they would have top10'd more fountain hooks than just one random one on mu. Yes, the visual bug needs to be fixed, agreed. But the mechanics are here to stay, as it's not been removed even though it's been known since 2011. Sadly many (new to dota, I'd assume) people are under the impression that it's a bug that's being exploited and that needs to be fixed sooner rather than later. Dude, the mechanic is almost 100% going to be removed. Various pro players according to Synderen have stated that they were very upset with how Navi won that game. Even Puppey himself was pretty hesitant to say that their victory was 'legitimate' in an interview regarding the fountain hooking, as he described abusing the bug as 'hardcore.' If a vast majority of pro players at TI were upset about it, I'm sure it's gonna get removed. Some people have been upset with it since 2011. It's now a feature. It won't get removed.
How many times do I have to repeat it's not a feature. It was left in due to 'hilarity' factor. Hilarity doesn't mean it isn't bugged. If it was a feature it wouldn't have been banned in the grand finals.

For every game Hvost carried hard (which wasn't only due to him) there were many games that he got completely bailed out by his team due to his utterly aggressive play that put them in a terrible position. There were various times he completely disregarded Puppey's calls and strategies. Read some of the post match interviews or watch some of the videos. The one game where they were losing against Tongfu (fountain hooking game) was Hvost completely disregarding Puppey's call to avoid the tri-lane and farm top.
I honestly believe that there were various times when Hvost was off, he was really dragging the team down and almost put them in a terrible position. Had it not been for some huge plays from his team, they probably get eliminated in most cases. Hvost certainly played better than he usually does (last TI he was almost a joke), but calling two of his teammates idiots is pretty bad.

Source on it being banned in the finals? PUPPEY banned chen 5/5 games so I suppose in a way...
Also you have to repeat it until you realize you are not correct lol.

Which was bullshit because that's highway robbery to me. Tongfu would have 100% won that game without the fountain hooking.

Yeah, it was the visual bug that caused it to not be used further (and it couldn't have been, as Chen was banned every game anyway). That's why only one fountain hook showed in the highlights/Dendi's hook top plays.

No, we were reading the same post. BurningSera wrote "forget game2 or 3," which I thought meant, "I forget what he said Game 2 or 3," and since there wasn't an alchemist in G1, I thought we were talking about G4 and G5. In any case, I agree that the hate directed towards Hvost is a little bit extreme, but it's still a bit ridiculous to cherry pick pro's opinions when they change so much from one game to another (because Hvost's performance also changes drastically from one game to another).

I am sure in the process of fixing the visual bug, they will tighten up the timing on the hook itself and the whole thing will make more sense visually. I don’t think the bug was 100% reliable or that Na’Vi couldn’t make it happen 100% of the time. I think they were just throwing hooks and some of them showed up and others didn’t. I can’t see Valve removing it the interaction between the two abilities, however, since there are plenty of ways to stop it. Plus it is freaking awesome to watch, even if it fails.

Ars-Art He may not be free currently, but I have no doubt he would drop Virtus pro in a heartbeat. Have you seen the few games VP won? It was basically AA+1 dragging the team to victory. Other than that there aren't many great support players in CIS region(or the west, for that matter) that are currently actually playing support.
edit: Not that I think they need to replace someone. Chances are good they would end up with a worse replacement if they try to force it.

why are you guys talking about replacing someone in navi? most games they lost they mostly did major fuckups as in bad team decisions/actions, not individual fail. that they got outratted in the last game has zero to do with the skill of any of their players.
they got close 2nd, why the hell would someone go and call doomsday on them now is really beyond me

Upper Bracket/Lower Bracket format is the second stupidest thing in Esports, it's an absolute plague on our community and there's good reason no real sport ever uses it.
The only thing more stupid is a ridiculous final where one two either starts 1/2 games up or one team has to win twice. I'm glad Valve are smart enough to see how retarded and tournament ruining levels of stupid the latter is, even if they persist with upper/lower bracket in general.
