Alliance are boring, but Na'Vi?

State one subjective fact and then laugh at another. You want a cookie?

"from Sweden", talk subjectivity.
I find the Alliance boring in that they've become a winning machine, also I love the plays but can hardly stand the players (EGM especially has the right number to get on my nerves), sorry we don't share the same opinion.
"from France", talk subjectively.

Look how effective this is. Go to reddit if you're not interested in what others say.

Is there a French team in TI3 now?

I don't think him being from Sweden makes him automatically biased.

Why does it have to be delayed for so long though. It's already early Monday morning in Europe which hey is where these teams are from lol.

Navi boring? Rofl.

orange, Zenith, Mufc = Pinoy doto
Mostly malaysian though.

Fu

Ok, it's SEA. There are no pinoy dota teams though, so maybe everyone else should stop talking about teams that don't exist?

Mineski and dreamz pls.
Never 5get dagon 3 puck against vici gaming.

I'm talking out of my ass, sorry. Never heard of them outside of Ti3 qualifiers though.
I'll try to talk less wrong things

Don't worry, Pinoy doto is irrelevant.

To be fair, Orange DID hang out here in PH shortly before going to Seattle.

Yeah, they shouldn't be too sad about their 7-8th place in their first ever International. I mean, that's better than 99.999999% of all dota players

For those complaining about the format, the way to see it is this way.

The whole playoffs were not to pick the winner. It is to pick the top 2 teams who will play in a grand final. It's a 2 separate stage in the tournament.

So there are actually 3 stages in the tournament which is groupstage, playoff, grand finals. Each stage is separate.

Teams who did better in group stage didn't start with a 1-0 advantage in the playoff as well despite winning more games.

Is this serious?

Yeah, they didn't get a 1-0 advantage, they got a 2-0 advantage. They started in the upper bracket and other teams started in the lower bracket, the equivalent in the format of getting 2-0'd.

There was a huge advantage to doing well in the prelims, it's really weird that you try to make it sound like there wasn't.

Yeah, a team with a 9-5 record (lets not count the tiebreaker) was in the exact same part of the bracket against a team with 14-0.

That team was seeded worse. If you're ever played in a tournament you might be aware that it's a gigantic disadvantage to play vs #1 seed first instead of vs the #8 seed.

How about the 3 teams who finished 8-6 and only 1 had to play against Na`vi, the top seed?

Oh and this too.

Of those 3 teams one had 2nd place for wining against the other 2, so you can only say that 2 teams only one had to face navi. and again, they would just drop to LB, be below the 2nd place team of the group (theoretically) but still ahead of the 8-5th team of their group. I see nothing wrong yet

Because Na'Vi probably at least deserves some kind of rest? That series must've been fucking exhausting.

That group stage is to pick 8 teams to be put in Upper Bracket and 8 teams to be put in Lower Bracket.

This playoff is to put 2 teams in the Grand Finals and 14 teams to be eliminated.

Between teams in the lower bracket, there is no score advantage despite some teams winning more than the others ( IG vs DK started 0-0 despite IG being 8-6 and DK 10-4).

Therefore in the grand finals there should be no score advantage also.

of course there are other non score advantages like being able to pick your opponents or being well rested and are able to save strats and analyze more of your opponents.

If the formats were similiar, the second qualifiers should put one half of the teams in the winners' bracket and one half in the losers' bracket for the grand finals.

Which is how it would go in a properly done tournament format. As you see, doing well in the qualifiers gives you an advantage. In a proper format, that is.

The concept of the formats are the same. I think the difference is just the number. 8 + 8 then 2 + 14. I am not exactly sure what you are saying so I'm sorry if i misunderstood.

But the second qualifiers( i assume you mean playoffs?) put 2 in Grand Final and 14 in elimination.. Between teams in the same stage ( in this case Grand Finals) they start with the same score. Just like in previous round , teams in WB and LB all start with the same score despite varying group stage performance.

Thanks
Do I need to explain myself?

Discounting what people say because of the country they are from has no place here. I could say that because you're French you don't know shit about Dota. It doesn't get the discussion anywhere.

The WR draft cost them the game. Should have picked Slardar or another phys dps anti carry.

...? And then the whole game fucking changes because they have to defensive trilane and/or babysit the slardar all game instead of roaming with their 2 supports which was a big reason why they got that early game advantage.

They had advantage in lanes from the start no matter what hero they ran, Lifestealer was gonna lose to OD and the tri-lane was gonna beat Dendi.

Except to actually WIN that lane against dendi the supports would have to stay bottom 100% of the early game and meanwhile enigma is farming fast as shit. Slardar will eventually get pushed out by the puck and the fear of enigma + nyx ganks.

Dendi had like 6/6 cs at 10 mins, I seriously doubt he could beat a Slardar 3 levels ahead of him. Not to mention Puppey was already rotating without any ganks from Orange because Lifestealer was getting raped middle.

Did you even watch the game? 6/6 and then he caught up and even tied 29/5 against windrunner because he had to back off because he didn't know where enigma/nyx were. The slardar can't trade harass with the puck either and has to overextend for cs later on. This is what happens to every offlane melee. Eventually they have to back out. Watch the liquid game where bulba was on naix.

Even if Slardar has to eventually back out, you cannot deny that Slardar will have a relatively good start, meaning he will be far more useful in this game than Windrunner would be. If you have a slightly farmed Slardar with a fast blink dagger on top of the early vaccums, I think it's an easy GG for Navi. Just the WR draft really didn't do much of anything outside of the early laning phase.

hvost only plays naix or weaver

funnik only plays windrunner or dark seer

they only deviate when they get chen

alliance i don't even have to list them ugly boring rat dota with loda and bulldog farming for 30 minutes into gg with akke on chen and egm on naga

only player who has variety in his heroes is s4

I don't know if I should reply, but here it goes:

Dendi plays SF, Puck, QoP, Storm, Pudge, Bat Rider, all of them are his signature heroes, even if he didn't played him much this TI. XBOST is playing only Naix and Weaver, but yet, he destroyed few times with Alchemist and Gyro. Funn1k only plays Windrunner and Dark Seer, yet today in 2 games we saw his Bounty and Weaver, and few days ago, he played Mirana.

You saying that Na`Vi plays boring DotA is your opinion, on the other hand, your arguments about it are completely invalid, as things you are saying aren't true.

On Alliance I can agree with, they usually have one style that is boring to some people(occasionally to me), but to some it isn't. Still, just your opinion.
