Shadow priest is the closest thing to one, however you can get meka on any support hero in order to heal.

You sure? I checked him and he doesnt even have healing skill. After my searchings i found more heroes considered healers, but not one which is really one. So i guess there isnt? Im thinking about a hero like (pre-patch) Soraka from LoL.

http://www.playdota.com/heroes/shadow-priest His third skill "shadow wave", heals allied units and damages nearby enemies. So that's a heal.
There are other heroes, however, you have to consider that cooldowns/ manacosts are much lower in LoL but the heroes you may be looking for are either Omniknight http://www.playdota.com/heroes/omniknight or Chen http://www.playdota.com/heroes/holy-knight
Soraka's skills are pretty much a mix of the skills of Chen(his ultimate), Omniknight(the instant heal) and Keeper of the Light/Ezalor(mana restoration).
It should also be mentioned that there is no "best healer" in DotA. Every hero can be a good supporter but it depends on the picks of your team/ the enemy team. Soraka is - because of the combination of the said skills - the perfect hardcore babysitter but after the babysitting she's pretty much useless(starcall isn't that useful imo). Dazzle, Omni, Chen and KotL have - besides their "restoration spells" - other characteristic spells[Shallow Grave/ Weave(Dazzle), Repel(Omni), Holy Persuasion(Chen) and Illuminate/ Spirit Form(KotL)] that make them useful in the lategame.

Both sounds promising, thanks you too

Does the spacebar in dota 2 work the same as in dota? Where if you hit space it would move to the last ping on the map. On the interface it says it's bound to camera grip but I'm not sure what that is.
|
I thought spacebar made the camera follow your hero in wc3 and is what I'd assume camera grip is as well.

Nah, it always moved to the last game message, tower destroyed, ping, etc. Just wondering if it does the same in dota 2, since camera grip doesn't sound like it.

Sounds like it's a toggle to make the camera follow your hero to me, which is understandable because a lot of people coming from LoL will request the feature (even if they don't understand how detrimental it is to their performance).

I doubt anyone except really beginners use locked in camera. But its good if you can go to your hero with one (or two, if you have to lock-unlock) keystrokes.

Just a short Question. Can you estimate the Time when Dota is released by the amount of Heros they have included in the Game so far, and the number of Heros they aim for the finished Game?

Currently they are at 56-58 heroes (not sure about the correct number). they are adding 1-3 heroes a week, so if they keep that pace it would take them a little more than 20 weeks.
|
Thank you for your fast answer. Will they add Heros continously after the Release in the finished Game?

Is the Warlock considered a good hero in competitive circles? I tried him out last night and wasn't very impressed. He seems to be mostly useless outside of a full-scale 5v5 teamfight in a confined area, but I think Lich would be a more desirable support hero even in that situation. His slow is potent but it's channeled and requires a ramp-up time before you really start seeing noticeable results. The Infernal is okay, not great, its initial stun time is very short and it doesn't do very much damage or present enough of a threat that the other team wants to do anything other than ignore it. Who is Warlock best paired with? Are there any particular items that he wants?

Warlock is a good carry babysitter. as his heals heal for a lot and his skills are not very mana dependent. His other 2 skills are good if you have a lot of AOE damage on your team. Warlock is a good Mechansm carrier. Basically he keeps your carry safe in the early game and does the dirty work. He also has good base damage and animation.
Lich is a top 5 hero in dota 1 so very few heros compare to Lich.

If line-ups can find a way to abuse Upheaval, then yes, he can be, otherwise, he's just meh, The slow doesn't require that long of a ramp up time. It's pretty quick applying.
Shadow Priest and Omni does a better job than him at everything right now at the defensive keep-my-hero-up role.

Doesn't warlock ulti go through BKB, making the stun a bit better? He is also good as a solo/pusher if you want to use him that way instead of babysitting. His infernals are very strong if he keeps up near the top of the level curve to level 16. Generally speaking somebody else does everything he does better, yet he is unique in what he does. So in specific lineups that can use the infernal for pushing and his aoe in battles he is strong.

Who is Warlock best paired with? Are there any particular items that he wants? In Chinese play there are three gods of DotA. Lich is one of them. Infinite mana through free denies, spammable nuke, excellent Mek holder, Frost Armor is really good lategame against melee carries, and Chain Frost is one of those game-breaking ultimates.
I still think Warlock makes for a better babysitter (unless your name is riptide kekeke). The heal and excellent slow add a lot to a carry's survivability. He can also solo, since he does want levels in heal + upheaval, and has a pretty good attack animation. Golems are great early game as well and can be used for pushing since very few heroes early on will want to fight the Infernal. Warlock also has relatively good strength growth (2.5), so he survives relatively well. And of course, Fatal Bonds used correctly hurts like hell.
Mekansm is the obvious choice, and then utility support items such as Force Staff or Drums. Aghs + Refresher Orb is hilarious but you probably won't reach that stage with Warlock.. After the magic immunity-piercing stuns are done, you have four flaming demons running amok.
