most of the higher rated guides are okay some of them are a bit dated or a little inaccurate, but they're usually fine anyway

Quick google turned up this. http://ssna.dk/dotahero/ I looked through some of these; every one I read will get you flamed in a dota 2 game.

What's with all these heroes who should buy chicken first? sf, viper, spectre, tinker...are the builds stolen from a 1v1 contest or something lol. Rhasta first item void stone. The rest of the original post is very good advice though.

none at all? That's a pretty big deal, isn't it? It is quite important to be able to tell if an enemy's basilius ring is turned on or not. Or sometimes you can spot an invisible enemy hero by seeing creeps having an aura on them.

Yea in Dota 2 I've seen effects for all of these. In dota some do some don't.

I can'say for sure, but I think you could play on his account if you're being reasonable. That is you don't always log on 15 secs after he logs off. I mean, Valve is checking your IP right? so if on monday the account is logged on from China and on tuesday it's logged on from United States, something is fishy.

There has been muiltiple cases of people being banned, and people not being banned for sharing accounts. I'm not quite sure what makes the difference, but it looks like a very fine line, so I'd be very careful.

A few seem pretty old, like '09, but that might not matter for dota.
