After a few matches I got some "boxes", that are called #dota_item_of_the_challenger/champions
The tooltip says, that there could be different items in there. How do I open these? Do I have to play with the hero that is mentioned? Or what is this?

Your "boxes/chests" can be opened with KEYS purchased via the in-game store. They do indeed contain various different items.

I'm pretty sure it was a game in The International. There was a bear vs bear standoff in mid for some time. Afaik the Rubick CAN put items on his bear and if he loses the spell those items are gone until he manages to steal it again and re-summon it.

Bear with no items is,not nearly as useful as a itemized bear tho. But it was really fun to watch.

- Arcane boots - Tranquil boots - Perserverance - Ethereal Blade - Sange & Yasha - Manta Style - Ring of Basilius - Ring of Aquila - Mjollnir (maelstrom cannot be disassembled though) A common trick is the arcane/tranquil boots for supports. You get tranquil boots & energy orb and can leisurely swap from tranquil boots to arcane boots when they're off cooldown.

Should I keep playing bot games until I stomp unfair bots or just jump in now? Also, how do parties work? If you're in a party, does the matchmaking match you up with other parties like in LoL?

I suggest to play what you have fun with. there are a lot of newbies in mm so you'll get matched fairly after a couple of games afaik. Yes they do, sometimes you can get 2+3 or 1+4 against 5 when there are not too many ppl playing.

Can some1 pls explain me the mindset when it comes to early game laning and use of teleports ? I come from LOL ( 2k games ) and this aspect of game is curently most confusing to me ..... as i'm used to ''blue pill'' and walk back fast - since map is smaller. None of champion guides state that Teleport scroll should be purchased as starting item. ( How many scrolls should i purchase per game average , ofc it dipends on game and strat , but in general ?) 3X green tree eating things barely provide sustain in lane compared to dmg that enemy skills / mobs or acidental tower hits dish out. aka how should i sustain myself in lane porperly ? Scenario - i got hit by enemy skils and left with 100 hp pre lv6 ( No tp scroll no hp pots/fruits ) - what should be my actions in dota 2 ? Thnx in advance

I didn't play a single bot game beyond going to test some mechanics every once in a while for a few minutes and went straight to multiplayer, forces you to learn quicker. I only had couple terrible games and then I either started carrying my own weight or got set to more appropriate match making. Jump in to multiplayer unless if you honestly enjoy playing vs bots... I didn't play LoL but I think parties can go against pub teams in DotA, not entirely sure though.

Thnx in advance Never start with a teleport scroll as it is better to spend on items that will help you in lane. After you have boots and a few other items you should be carry a teleport scroll most of the time no matter what hero you are. Supports will get to help defend lanes, or carries will get so they can push a lane deep and then teleport away safely to farm somewhere else. Sometimes you might want to get a tp scroll before you have a lot of items if you think that the enemy team will try and dive one of your friends at a tower, or if you want to do a surprise gank on someone. In regards to regeneration items, 3xTangos is a lot to buy. Most people get away with 1 tango + salve or 2 tangoes. If you are getting harassed a lot it may be because you are on a difficult lane, or they spent all their mana for it in which case after healing up you are safe. In the scenario you stated, it is usually best to go back to base and heal up. On the stealing Summon Spirit Bear with Rubick convo from above, Puppey actually stole it today from Zhou in game 3. One thing to note is that not only does the bear not have items, but it does not gain the synergy bonus as well .

What if you put items on it? are they still there if you steal the bear again? and: if you have scepter on rubick and steal a ult, does this profit from scepter? Bear stays until rubick steals another spell or dies. Items will appear next time you summon. I do not know about having your own scepter but if the hero you steal the spell from has a scepter then your spell will be upgraded top.

One thing to note is that not only does the bear not have items, but it does not gain the synergy bonus as well .To clarify, I think he meant that the tango comes with 3 charges. Each charge heals for 115hp, so that's 345hp total. Tangos are used to heal up from minor harassment; in the early game it heals you for ~15% of your hp. Unless you're standing under a tower, facetanking creeps or facing heavy harassment, 3 tangos and 1 salve should be enough for all of your regen during the early game.
