Also the phasing is nice. I've always thought of Mortred as a hero that just dies if caught anyway. If you're going to run away, might as well run away real fast.

Survivability: Imo treads. If she indeed is a hero who dies no matter what when caught, then neither boots really matter. The best method to get away is to blink, which is totally independent of boots. I'd rather have magic wand with treads, than magic wand with phase to blink away to a target. You could argue here that phase lets you get to a target faster to blink.....which I would say yes but a very rare situation that isn't worth trading +8 str for. Or you could just position yourself better to not get caught in obvious spots. Attack speed: It's true blink gives her aspd, but during the laning phase and throughout the game you have higher aspd during the time you aren't blinking, which means your crit chance theoretically goes up. The damage you give up for the aspd is not worth it imo for the way I think is the best to play her. + Damage to maximize coup de grace: If this is your goal, then I see where phase wins. But again I think you're aiming for endgame rape, I think the blink range is good enough for you to catch anyone with faster aspd from treads. During the lane, if you're having a very very hard lane, like worst possible scenario, you will be getting creeps with your dagger so neither boots really matter. What does matter is the +8 str to tank some harass when you're in a medium difficulty lane. Basically it boils down to treads switching + aspd you can get early, since you don't rush items like hyperstone or other huge aspd items. Phase lets you run faster, chase, and do slightly more damage. Some quick math: Each point of agi gives 1 damage to her. Each point of agi gives 1/7 armor Each point of agi gives 1% attack speed. So with agi treads you're looking at +8 damage, 1ish armor, and 33% aspd overall. Vs the straight + 24 dmg of treads. I think in the early game before you have max blink strike, which is when boots really matter, I'd rather have the option of treads where I can have aspd in situations that call for free farm and not that bad damage and str where I'm getting harassed. If I'm fucked I might as well have no boots and stifling dagger for cs.

The thing is back then treads were +10 to stats. And even though they aren't +10 now I don't see anything that changed enough to tide me over for phase. I've been playing a fair amount of PA recently (in crappy pubs, mind you) and I've gone Phase every time. However, after my last game, I'm considering switching to Treads. I went Vangaurd/Abyssal/Vlad/AC and I noticed a real uptick in my effectiveness once I got the Hyperstone for the AC. However, after the game I realized that Vlad + AC don't stack their +armor effects so I was thinking of a way to get attack speed without going AC. I'm considering something like Treads and then Yasha as my first damage item. I feel like crit or proc-heavy AGI heroes should just stack AGI rather than raw +damage. I'd almost consider a naked Eaglesong...

it's worse for straight up autoattacking but in a real fight ur chasing stuff all the time so it's gonna give you more actual damage output than treads

phases also let you get in range to blinkstrike/dagger, run through things, chase bkb'd stuff, etc it's not that treads are bad, it's just that phases are nice to have

How would you say I go about learning everything? Should I try and get a grip of what every hero does and play every hero at least once? Should I learn a few heroes to play or is it feasible to just stick with just one and maybe a backup hero? Because all I want to do is play Invoker.
