Hello TL! I am Derek Gutierrez, long time player and fan of Dota. I started playing this game around 2006, and have probably played around 10,000+ games of Dota 1 + 2. As a seasoned veteran, I know how hard it can be to learn the ins and outs of this game. There are just so many heroes, abilities, strategies, and mechanics that it can simply overwhelm a majority of new players. This is why I created a YouTube series called "Tips and Tricks".

In this series, my goal is to showcase one particular aspect of Dota, explain it to you, and show you why you should be doing it.
This can range from simple things such as double tapping your TP scroll to return home, higher level tricks like cancelling Templar Assassin's trap animation in order to chase faster, to very advanced mechanical aspects of the game, such as how burrowstriking an opponent when they are facing a certain way can guarantee yourself a completed epicenter.
I am going to make one Tips and Tricks video every single day, while keeping the length under 2 minutes long.
I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge with others in order to help them become better Dota players. In order to achieve this, I have set up a long list of facts and ideas for videos that can last me a very long time, and have set up a work schedule that will allow me to upload something everyday. Learning a bit of Dota 2 in small 1-2 minute segments everyday, coupled with playing a few games a day, is a very ideal situation if you want to learn the game quickly. So I will work my hardest so that you can work your hardest to improve!
Please subscribe to get the most up-to-date notices of when I put a video up.
Although I will be continuously updating this thread with my newest video, it would be wise to subscribe to my YouTube channel so that it will automatically show you when I produce content. This is much more convenient for you, as you won't have to constantly check this thread or my channel manually to see if a new video has gone up yet. Plus it's free!
I will also be producing other sorts of videos, such as hero guides, replay analysis, patch analysis, and a few other ideas that I have in mind. So if you are interested in what else I have cooking, make sure to subscribe and stay tuned!

Wow, this is pretty awesome. I hope you can consistently upload a video every day though. That is the most appealing aspect to this in my opinion.

Gimme some windrunner tips! Good initiative.

wait what is that SK burrowstrike 'dota2 only'?
Nice videos very straight to point and concise, hope to see more!
You should probably link or embed all your previous videos in the OP!

I linked all of my videos at the bottom. I added in a bold at the bottom to make it more apparent, maybe people weren't seeing it before.
As for the SK Burrowstrike thing, I'm not completely sure, as I only recently discovered it. I'm sure that it still works in Dota 1 as well though.

Great videos, keep up the good work! The one that shows how purge removes dust saved me a few times as SA in a recent game, and my enemies looked really confused. I think I went 17-2 Also new to me were the TA trap trick and the different ways to remove her invisibility from meld. I look forward to seeing more videos!

Would be cool if we had a thread where everyone posts all the little "pro tips" about Dota that they don't think everyone knows - that's what I thought this was going to be when I read the title. But your vids are really cool and, come to think of it, my thread idea would turn to shit pretty fast.

It theory it sounds awesome, though it'll become a thread that'll need to be moderated heavily so you can only see tips and tricks and not spam and questions.

I really liked this series. As someone not that into dota2, I picked up quite a few things. Gave you a bump on twitter as well, hope that helps.
