If you watched Matumba often he straight up lost is lane due to lack of mechanical skill -- was as garbage as Topson/FATA in mid, and we all know those two are some of the worst mids on the pro scene.

You do not win a TI and be part of one of the most succesful teams over a time frame of two years if you are trash and his niche picks allowed them so many times to get away with the game and/or force at least a respect ban. The middle lane is to important and both players, Matu and Topson, had a great part in it that their teams won TI. His mechanical skills are on par with the top players, otherwise he would not be able to play these microintensive heroes like Brood, LD and Lycan on the highest level. Sumail, NoOne, Maybe, MidOne have played the mid role their entire career even Miracle is struggling against them when not having a favorable matchup. W33ha may be the solution, so far he looks very well considering the short time he is with the team. Fata will be playing his seventh TI this year, his sixth as a mid laner. Not bad for a guy who you consider as one of the "worst" mid players in the pro scene.

dravernor Netherlands6175 Posts June 25 2019 08:44 GMT #6788 I'd also like to point out that whilst I am in no way a good Dota player myself, what won me over to being a huge Matu fan (aside from his great personality) was the fact he really stood out to me. Maybe not the last few months, but it always amazed me that he could have a crap lane matchup and STILL have incredible cs, that he kept himself up there in the net worth charts, that he won his lane more often than not etc. His mechanics are fantastic, and he is a great player in his own right, but maybe he and the team have just outgrown their style and they needed something different. No shame in that.

Hell if you build it correctly it just does 2k damage wuth 4 sparkrays and a player like Noone is surprised. I was concerned about the draft too, but hell they played it absoluteley perfectly.
