But that's what you get if you have to go through the lower bracket! Some advantage must be there for the upper bracket. While of course the games are much shorter, I think I remember that in the Smash community/tournaments the players from the lower bracket not only have to play more games, but also to win TWO bo5 in the grand finals! Happy we don't get that ![]() Secret is the team to beat. And damn I was impressed by their "magic-damage-strat"! So good and great itemization!

Our boys did well this tournament, i am glad that we are starting to play strong when TI is getting close, a win @ Epicenter will be a nice way to end the pre TI year. P.S. EU Quqlifiers for Epicenter start in 2 days we will have a chance for revenge there.

Liquid had it somewhat easier because it was a European tournament. There are players flying to different fucking regions of the fucking planet and immediately having to play these qualifiers. This has got to be a joke.

This year's schedule is kind of meh overall.I agree that especially the Guys from NA and Asia that attended the Paris Major are kind of fucked but on the bright side NA and Asia don't start until tomorrow.

Matu 20 min freefarm no impact, MC on Enigma disappointing as well. Don't get it why they are still giving up the offline for a freefarmibg enemy core just to make Enigma work. Make me somehow believe that MDL was a fluke and they are still in a bad spot. Well...if they do not win against Secret, it is nearly over.

If we judge for a team after one game - if they win vs Secret will they be the best team in the world ?

Even if they drop out of the qualifiers it doesn't really matter - they secured the TI spot, and for a team that won TI and has been stable for 3 years, thats the only thing that matters. If we judge for a team after one game - if they win vs Secret will they be the best team in the world ? it's 4 games, not one. And we cannot judge them even from the 2 good days at MDL Major too, right? I think that not be able to qualify for a Major for a team of the caliber or Liquid is a massive failure, shit like "oh but they are already qualified so idc" are ridiculous, look at Secret and VP (that's the tier of Liquid lineup and they have showed in the last season) constantly perform decently and are able to stay always on the top of the region. I don't think it's right to expect to win every event and qualifier, but still be able to compete at that level it should be normal. And this season only at MDL Paris we had that kind of feeling, like "oh they could do it, they have a shot to win the trophy!". I don't know if the sequence of Epicenter - TI - entire season of top 4 placement plus Supermajor did satisfy everyone so now it doesn't matter how they perform, but for me seeing them struggle like this for the most part of this season is not fun :-(

They still got it, but maybe they just require this extra bit of motivation by playing against the very best.

#stablegenius On a more serious note - the problem with this qualifier so far is best summarized here (starts @ 2:36, didn't manage to link exact start ![]()
