I disagree, right now VP are the absolute best team, while Secret have a better overall win-rate vs Liquid, right now they aren't as strong as they were few months ago.
vs VP won't be any easier than Secret.

VP always is a challenge Even our win at Ti was a lot thanks to them being mg broken from losing in winners and that close long game
We have the biggest rivalry with them past year or so, the series will be awesome again no doubt

I think we're doomed. The best thing we can get right now is just hope we can make a run through the lower bracket. At this point i dont even know if we can beat vgj , vgj is a bo3 team, look how many series where they lost game 1 and won the next 2 games over the last couple months , thats why they did so poorly in this group stage. And if we beat them , there's no way that we're gonna beat vp. We cant win shit when miracle get destroyed by noOne everytime in the lane and we're playing 4 p 1 where matu's not a factor. I hope they prove me wrong. But i think i just made a realistic statement

So our chances are pretty good I would say. VP will be very difficult for sure, as always. But maybe kuro and heen will figure something out...for now i just believe in them, because I know they can do it. you can still be negative if they lose;)

Miracle has had some ridiculously clutch plays, keeps up on farm, he's playing his best dota right ever now I'd say, the PL games for example where they lost I had my mouth open how amazing he was
Yeah they probably should go greedy on Matu instead of MC some more again instead of the viper/venos, hardly his fault I'd still easily say it's like 45:55 vs VP to win a BO3 And we're definitely even or favourites over VG.J come on, you must be high if you think otherwise

IMO He is the MVP of the groups stages by far, no matter that Liquid lost so many games( they lost them for different reasons). I am pretty sure that you can assemble a 10 min video just by adding his plays in those games. Also in the current meta, and how good most teams are, the line between looking lost and getting owned, and stomping seems very thin. Couple of misplays lead to a disaster. After the disasters against TNC and Optic, Our Boys made Newbie look like a total noobs. To be honest the strat in that game was brilliant. I havent seen a true Offlane drow strat never- give her a decent lane to get some levels, then use her as a global aura. In the end Kuro had more farm than MC. So even if opponents use everything on Drow and kill her, its not an auto lost fight like a usual drow strat. Not to mention it was a 4 core lineup. After so many questionable draft, that game looked like Kuro writing a book for others to lear on how to draft. I am really confused. Maybe it is a next level strat so they force opponents to underestimate them. But even after the last month with all the questionable games we've played VP are still admitting that they only fear Liquid. And that means a lot - VP usually never say they are scared of anything. Cant wait until tomorrow to see if we will finally see taht Liquid vs Vp match, we all wait for a while.

Liquid looked so fucking good that game man. Holy shit

My standards for them are very high. I know they were still good but their drafts and plays have been off since the TI nerfs. One Liquid is a team that won every post-Kiev event they attended including TI and the other Liquid has a respectable Top 4 placement in every DOTA event.

Now all the overdramatic negative people here can relax at least one day longer xD gg wp Liquid

Except at TI we had an undeniable big draft edge over everyone with GH strategies, even though arguably VP and LFY were playing slightly better
Since then every win is due to pure skill/adaptive drafts

So then every loss was due to the lack of pure skill/adaptive drafts. TI7 Liquid didn't have a habit of throwing games at the enemy high ground and taking bad Rosh fights. There's a reason why Liquid hasn't won a Major this year, they've obviously been off their game.

There is a reason why every team goes off a bit after TI. It is extremeley hard to keep the thirst going. IMO Liquid manage to do it, with having one thing in mind - TI8. And because the other tournaments don't really matter to them, they afforded to make questionable drafts, even more questionable even yolo plays and so on.
Just watch a couple of replays when they are all motivated like that last VCJ series, and a random game from earlyer this tournament where MC and GH chainfeed for no reason while Matu seem lost. There is such a enormous difference between those two that its hard to believe this is possible. In one case Liquid are getting 28:0 ed, and owned against pretty much any decent team, while every player in the world is scared to death from the other Liquid.
