Nice start in the tournament. The draft was good and creative, they played it very well too. this already looks much better then dac. Lets hope this continues.

Maybe Kuroky should try something different instead of picking Naga every time he wants to secure a game.

I'd be very unpleased if those games actually mattered. Having good seed is OK, but you still can loose in the round of 16 pretty much against any team. Also you have to win against strong teams at least 2 times to be in the final.
I really don't understand the new Valve format - 3 days of official scrims that are streamed with comment.

Well I think they had a chance to win those games.
The draft in game 2 and 3 were better for Thunder - clearly good ideas in countering naga with a morph late and I also liked the ideas in game 2 with bristle kotl and countering mk by tusk. The mobility of prophet showed how you can exploid the lack of escape from an invoker.
All in all great dotes.

Misery is doing his homeworks and thunder is a strong tournament team.

I still think liquid will do good.

My hidden favorites are VP and Thunder.

The last game Meracle invoker did pretty terrible early game and then just seemed to have such a small impact throughout the rest of the game (outside of a few snipes)

They played well in their games vs SG. Obviously, SG isn't the greatest team in the world, but they're no joke either.

I think the main problem is the shitty offlane hero picks not bringing the Liquid drafts together. I was not on board with offlane Earthshaker and Nightstalker at all.

I dont think someone should value the SG games high.

For me the drafts clearly showed, a good team would have beaten it.
IO gh is a monster, but their IO ideas are not the best. No way this works against IG.

The nightstalker idea was good - I really think against kotl it works perfect... but the bristle destroyed their whole draft idea.
ES offlane I cant take serious, not even with sunstrike disable comb ideas behind - which was what they aimed for.

Morph got them offguard and their naga idea was kind of bullshit in this game. They suffered against 4vs5 teamplays were naga was away farming and morph took the advantage to win them teamfights and get a huge amount of farm too.

I think the hero of this meta for me is terrorblade so far.

I value the SG games because the drafting makes a lot more sense now. Sure, not the most competitive games ever, but it did show a departure from their extremely greedy picks and very questionable picks for MC who was playing out of his mind before.

I'm not very confident after the wins but it was a step up for them.

Why the team is playing so weird.

Look really frustrating actually. Like there's no communication. Also they're making silly mistakes for no apparent reason.

If you think this is a pattern - then enjoy the MC Doom now ;-)

They will win it, cause Tinker destroys a 4 protect 1 with sf being the 1, but still... they will continue the weirdo picks.

Its time Kuroky comes up with something different. Getting really boring to watch them secure a series with Naga.

haven't been catching all liquid games but i think kuro needs to stop giving himself greedy 4. They get gh to come in as a playmaker but kuro seems to like playing 4?? i think that was one of the reasons why jerax left as well

As expected. This is the sixth Naga lineup in a row that didn't work. Riki almost carried - but you can't outplay the bad draft vs decent team. Maybe it works in scrims because teams don't care. DON"T PICK NAGA!
Thank you.

P.S Good that this and the next match dont matter. As the only way to play vs weak team was to win 3 in a row. Now every team left in the pool is good enough to beat everyone.
