but there is a difference between spotlighted/memorable games over statistics. unfortunately, when we consider good games, i don't think OG has either on either of those heroes. i believed in and also studied his meepo when he was one of the first adopters. i also believe OG needs to increase in greed and play the mental game. many of their games (drafts) in the past have required perfect execution from them. i shouldn't need to say that that grates on a player. i think OG has this pedigree of top level play, but i've noticed as a fan that they need to bring it to the next step further. their game must not crumble because their mid gets shut down throughout the early-midgame, nor because their offlane gets nothing. this is because it forces them to take fights that are now predictable to every team out there that studies them. notail will get underfarmed and will never catch up without those fights, and we all know how that feels at any mmr when you can't find a good lane to farm. i also think their winrate in forced tri-vs-trilanes is very low, compared to a team like EG. in other words, i think they're actually very predictable outside of meta-breaking picks, which they're very good at creating.

Did they put S4 to draft or something? That was very reminiscent of a classic S4 draft. Players get strong comfortheroes (outside maybe Notail ember), strong teamfight, good push and good depush/split in the emberpick. Also, their farm-distribution early giving Lich and Rubic early levels while others jungled was a nice touch.

For the rest i liked their execution and draft before they started doing random stuff.

Dual defensive supports, illusion heroes, huskar cheese etc. They're not VP/wings level of 'we can win with any hero any style' versatility. Right now they're still trying to find something that works and when they do, they'd probably polish and make it very hard to beat for a while. Actually they are on VP/Wings level, and they can win with a lot of strategies.. But they don't. They have to find why, Yesterday was a step in the right direction. Hopefully this can continue,

Hopefully this can continue, I do think they are good enough to win with various strategies, but for some reason the team tend to focus on just a select few and stubbornly use it all the way.

I wonder if they will be able to reach the top with this lineup. It is not that they are not great players, I am just not sure that everyone can play the position they are most skilled at the same time. Another option would be to bring S4 back to the midlane and put notail on the offlane... Anyway, time will tell.

So Notail gets forced to play stuff he his not comfortable with in order to give the space to resolution. Or maybe Notail is just in a bit of slump, but I think it is partly the former. Also he holds the most heroes played in pro games record iirc. So that's not it.

Yeah it is true that notail is versatile in his hero pool and that he does not mind playing a sacrificial style. However being versatile does not necessarily mean that you can go toe-to-toe with the tire one mid players. I mean notail can play ember and the like, but can he lane successfully against Sumail? Then another question is if you want your mid position to play a sacrificial role? Or will resolution play a farm intensive hero mid? Not sure but I feel like there is an issue here, a bit like arteezy and sumail had before. Sumail has his style and he needs to be able to play that for him to shine on a team. But notail is versatile so maybe he can adapt, and OG has a lot of smart people in their roster so perhaps they will find a way.

I don't think moving s4 to mid would be optimal. To me, he was never really a farming mid, excluding his QoP maybe. He's more of a tempo controller in most, if not all, heroes.
