The grand final games against TNC (!) looked dominant, but a few of the group stage matches reeked of the slump swamp they've been in since TI. They're certainly on a good path though, I hope reso can extend his hero pool and Notail can keep finding the balance between helping the team and being a carry. His tiny games were awesome, now he just need to replicate these performances on all his heroes. Agree one of OG's problem is when N0tail becommes a 3 more than a 1, and they lack damage in team fights because Reso need to do all damage, think we saw that in the first game against Navi where his Naga was all utility and low farm until he became very farmmed late game. But his Tiny was amazing. The other thing that OG had in this tournament was good to great play from supports. Jerax smashed it on both Tusk and ES looked like himself again. Fly was much more aggressive and made many plays, think some of the most impact i seen from him. The movement and map reading from the team was great and they now have so many heroes they look good on that they will be hard to ban against, think they will be among top teams again.

Fingers crossed. The Naga game is a tricky example as he had not much influence on how the heroes impact would play out- They almost exclusively picked it for the initiation/combo. He couldn't go for more of a hard carry build (i.e. old radiance) because his timing would have been off by like 10 minutes and he would either be forced to fight without items or not be in the fights at all. His Jugger game was a much better example where he had a great laning phase, bought an early shadow blade and proceeded to do nothing for the next 25+ min because he stopped farming and all his ganks failed. Ended the game with a gifted moonshard from Reso and an enemy rapier and still lower networth than the enemy carry.

notail has a tendancy to pub the heroes he is going into a tournament with. actually i'm sure quite a number of pros noticed this already. map understanding and strong gank teamwork is what the team is a shining bright star with. however their ultimate playstyle won't come to fruition as long as individual performance isn't there. there was honestly no issue in my mind that he goes bfury manta/diff manta/S&Y diff build (in that order of viability) that jugg game and does what he can. 90% of players in his position would have done so and probably have a good game.

The 0-3 blowout by VP I could kinda accept, it's VP at the summit after all, but the loss to Fnatic really hurts. Agreed, really think the drafts in game 2 & 3 was so awful. The game 2 last pick Brod that the they choose to lane agianst an TA (that is a showballing hero) that has one of best early game AoE and just feed of spiderlings is one of most stupid descions i have seen i Dota for a long time. Fly and rest of the team needs a smack on the head for that.

I think something will have to change this team clearly doesn't work, and it's no more about giving them time, i think they had enough.
