arteezy regarding the 8k ladder grind "if you think for a second that someone on your team will cast a spell when you need them to cast a spell .. you're gonna lose "
ROFL
hotbid : "i heard you guys haven't been scrimming that much" rtz : "yep .. we haven't had much success on scrims so" hotbid : "why you guys just yell at each other ?" rtz: "i don't think so i think becomes more passive .. like everyone knows .. no one tries .. zai goes 0-15 everygame .. it's hard to understand if we are learning anything .. it's like actually impossible to know what's happening"
looks like going into TI5 secret still ain't scrimming
Yikes this doesn't sound promising if they are gonna last as a team (not just a TI competitive team) .. feels like they have no team cohesion and they are just winning cause everybody on the team is so fucking good
Feels like Secret are experimenting a fair amount in this group stage. At least with their picks and with some of what was said in an interview here and there...
I wonder if they are going to step it up a notch when playoffs start?
s4 really needs to get his laning together. He cant keep getting destroyed whenever he gets a 1v1 mid that is slightly unfavored. In all three loses s4 got destroyed mid. Twice as razor vs qop and once as qop v lesh.
A lot of secrets draft rely on a good laning stage, s4 losing mid hard leaves those drafts with no plan B.

It's very easy to get "destroyed" mid when you feel very confident against your opponent. I don't think s4 playing greedily is necessarily a problem.
Definitely s4 has been pretty vulnerable at mid, but I think the real tournament starts only now.
Both Alliance and early Secret were very dominant in the early less important tournament games, but often ended up running low on steam towards the important games. I can see them being far more focused now that the actual playoff bracket starts.
It will be interesting to see if Secret were holding back on some strats during the group stage. Most of their interviews hinted at them not 'showing everything' yet... So we'll see...
It still kinda sucks that they're probably going to be playing EG so early on (assuming they both beat their respective opponents)

They are not that linear, but destroying s4's game can work out, especially if he gets the hero he needs to make high impact with.

But then they are stuck with either rotating zai to other lane, picking ember for zai or playing single core razor, since s4 in general is pretty bad on farming mids. Or picking qop+razor, but i fail to see a single reason to pick duo core like that. Obviously i talk about cases when s4 actually wants to pick razor.
EDIT: Watched Arteezy's perspective in Navi vs Secret. Holy crap, Secret are as godly as observing them shows.
