old Alliance -> inconsistent, but they can beat any tier1 team if they are in good shape. new Alliance -> inconsistent as well, but they lose any tier3 or even unprofessional team. old Alliance -> win 80% of their games if bulldog get well farmed and s4 get ok farmed. new Alliance -> still lose 80% of their games, even loda and jonas get lead in networth.

loda is not the type of core that achieves a lot with farm. The way they perform is no fun to watch. I liked alliance, they had a fresh own way of playing the game.
A good swedish squad:
pajkatt core, s4 core, bulldog off pieliedie 5th egm 4th
loda coach.
I would like that.

Loda is more of an initiating playmaker kind of semi carry. He's getting a lot of unneeded flak IMO, especially by people that don't actually follow Alliance. A lot of the time he dominates games. Of course, a lot of the time he doesn't have a huge impact either. He's very hit-and-miss. Snowball kind of player

Havn't watched all the games recently at a deep level but from what I have seen they do well when LodA and Limmp both have cores that can scale while the team focuses on creating space for Limmp. If Limmp is on a space creator or hero that can't scale it tends to go worse. I could be wrong though, havn't done an actual analysis of it.

Loda used to be a rock solid carry player, good enough to play any carry hero to compliment the team's draft. After all, the team was built around bulldog's greedy offlane and s4 insane playmaking mid.
But now the 2 key players are gone. Jonas is a relatively average offlaner, limmp while good doesn't control games in the way s4 can. Suddenly, loda's role is no longer to compliment the team. He is no longer that important and reliable sidekick you can count on to fulfil a function. The absence of key players has forced loda into being one, but his skill set isn't meant for that.
Of course when he is asked to do a role he doesn't excel in, his errors become more prominent and fatal. That's why he gets so much flak. You could look at it 2 ways though: 1) stop blaming him because he is still the same player just without the same teammates, or 2) blame him because he insist on being in the team, but he hasn't evolved or upgraded his style for life after bulldog/s4 or to suit the meta
|
A long time ago I said he should move to offlane. Think that will suit him alot better. He can play so many heroes and the meta now actually would benefit the playstyle that makes him excell. And grab a new pos1.
But atm we just have to wait until kiev is over. Nothing will happen before that. Even if it does, it would actually be stupid unless they find some pubstar that isnt signed that fits. Doubt it tho
|
Didn't I say that ages ago?
Any pubstar's better than loda now that 2 farm oriented players can work out as EG and Liquid are proving.
There's a lot less pressure on the offlane to constantly perform throughout the game , let's see him sardar it up in there!

It's true S4 looked comical at first, like playing batrider like mid, ending up feeding throughout the game, messing up builds... But look at him now I think there's a much better chance of Loda becoming a solid offlaner than world class carry again, much like S4 mid he just hasn't been there past few years...Offlane's not easy by any meana but the offlaner can always make more mistakes than the carry, can have a few off minutes during the game with low farm and is no big deal if he brings those big plays when they matter

Make or break the lineup i hope.

micke made through kiev open qualifier... with solid performance though.
|
Thanks yurie. Had no events when I posted so... Info up now tho it seems.

If Alliance got beaned they might as well disband right away. loosing to a 0 practice, formed 4 days ago team, for the memes, that went through quali only in the second run would have been the bottom of the bottom.
Thank God they won, limmp carried them hard and still wasn't convincing enough
|
Wow what do you say now haters
|
Alliance looked solid, best performance in a while, alliance really stepped up here. If the win against bean wasn't convincing this definitely was
|
Bears looked super strong I think if Alliance beats everyone but them it'll be still great success for them
