My guess A had a really good chance of going 5-0 in the group if they had arrived a day early and was rested and fed! Glad they made it either way...

There are teams I enjoy watching, usually because they are good and because you can learn something. It's the other position that doesn't make sense, why would you be a fan of a team? What do you get out of that relationship?" So you feel you have nothing to learn from teams who are not the tip top best of the world ? so i assume you are actually a pro player ? give me a f****g break , if you don't think that all the players in the open qualifiers aren't leagues better then you then you are delusional or a pro player , every player in Alliance is outrageously better then you , you saying you don't have anything to learn from them is mind boggling and stupid, if its because you don't ENJOY watching them play , fine , but we do ENJOY it. regarding not understanding why ppl enjoy bulldog stream (you were hurt by that notion)- , i finished my uni years ago and i still enjoy watching bulldog stream from time to time , its a HOBBY/Recreational time , you don't seem to know what it is , also you believing that all of them are mediocre is whats strikes me the most of you being an arrogant prick. What exactly is the answer you are looking from your questions ? ppl gave you plenty of them but you ignore them and say you don't understand them , sorry pal if you can't understand them you are thicker then i thought , good luck when you finish uni , you should find a job with 0 human interaction if possible as this seem like a weak spot for you. Please , I ask you nicely because this is getting frustrating , contribute to the Alliance thread (i even miss the trolls) rather then discuss how fans behave , if you wish to discuss fan behaviour please open a thread in general i will come and discuss it with you there , have a nice day, Since you brifely touches the topic in your five paragraph post demanding space not be wasted in this thread, which is ironic and a bit silly, I will answer. Please don't be disingenuous - if you actually was worried about off-topic posts you would not write five paragraphs where 90 percent of the text is about me. I'm fairly sure that is by miles and miles more off-topic in a Alliance thread then why people support Alliance. I'm flattered that you are so interested in me as a person even though I'm still not clear on how it's relevant to anything. Maybe you could explain? You are misusing the word arrogant in your post after reading my post wher I give you the dictionary definition of the word, which also seems silly. What you are quoting is my viewpoint, having a different viewpoint then you has nothing to do with arrogance. Stating that my viewpoint was the only valid one, like you are doing and which I haven't, would be arrogant. As for the little bit you write that's actually relevant. You are again repeating that you do it because you find it enjoyable and I don't because I don't. This was established at the start so why you think it is useful to restate somthing nobody is disputing is beyond me. Some did, you were not one of them, and I answered them. If you want to learn something it is a good idea to make sure you are learning the correct thing. Just because someone is doing something better then you does not mean they are doing it right. I would argue it is better to learn from the best then from someone just better then you because you can be sure you are learning the optimal known way. This is also just one of two reasons I gave for my preferance to watch the top teams.

For me personally, I dont particularly like any one person on Alliance but I do however cheer for the team. Secondly, Id argue that there's more than one type of joy in watching anything, as someone else mentioned, if you have an emotional bond due to whatever reason which can be formed as easily as having a common nationality or just a positive feeling about something. I don't think that there's alot of fans who actually worship every single player on a given team - you might just like individual playstyle or personality and that carries over to the team. To examplify, theres alot of individual athletes with fan followings which are not necessarily based on athletic superiority but rather personality, ethics or whatever other reason. For me, Ive been a fan since NTH and their innovative lvl 1 rosh and was subsequently very impressed when they in a dota landscape dominated by chinese teams (at least as I remember it) went and won G-1 Champions League Season 5 undefeated through a series of Bo1s with a innovative TP rosh strat. At that time, i guess by your logic it was reasonable to be a fan since they were the best team in the world but I still get positive feelings from when they won TI3 and I had stayed up all night and they were losing the final game just until the last minute - should i just discard that just cause they havnt done as well in the last few years? I will always root for alliance to some degree just based on that and I would assume that holds true for other people as well. Fake rosh: Lvl 1 rosh: The dreamcoil: If you go by dictionary definition a fan is "someone who admires and supports a person, sport, sports team..". A lesser or greater degree of personality worship is implied in the definition. The main reasons I can find to like something is because it's good or because it's so bad it's fun. You are adding a third here which I would agree with - because it so different it is interesting, in this case refering to playstyles. I would also agree Alliances playstyle is somewhat different even though it is not my cup of tea. In your last paragraph you are adding yet another reason I agree with and it is a very obvious one so I'm a idiot for not seeing that one sooner - you start out liking them because they are good and that positive feeling lingers. Thank you for a well reasoned post, it is greatly appreciated. User was temp banned for this post.

Even if not 2-0 Alliance should win at least 2-1 vs them unless they blunder really hard. Of course their WCA run was worse than usual so idk maybe they really are still down, but it wouldn't really surprise me to see them playing better and better as the tournament progresses.

Level of awkwardness in this interview 7/10: Would watch again! ![]() On a serious note: Great insight regarding their split-up during 2014-2015. I think he hit the nail on the head describing how they needed some time apart to figure out what they wanted and what made their chemistry so special. Glad to see them back on track and very excited for tomorrow. Hype! ![]()

User was warned for this post I can see why you'd be warned for this post, but I honestly have to agree with you to a degree. The d-day guy has been a class A troll in this thread, deliberately walking into the discussion with the sole intention of stirring up trouble. If this had been any other thread I'd be ok with it, but in a fan thread that's just provocative and unnecessary.

Indeed, i dont mind it as it breaks the routine of watching the tourny (if you like both games) , but the problem is they switch teams/games WAY too slow which is holding everything up , and you should note that EG 2-0 easily and Fnatic are stomping as well and you are still WAY behind , if those games were 3 maps you would be in trouble meeting the dead line.
