Calling it idolization isn't really fair. I mean, obviously some people do get very hardcore about it, but being a fan doesn't mean you have to worship the ground they walk on. It just means you like the team and root for them. And like I said, there are lots of reasons to be a fan of a team, some of which I named, and some of which are directly related to playing the game. Sure at the end of the day we're all watching for the Dota, but we're not robots. What doesn't make sense about wanting people you like to do well? Being good at the game just isn't the only thing people like about teams.

And on the subject of how long to leave their flights, it's definitely not so black-and-white. I mean for one thing it's entirely possible the players don't' really have much involvement when it comes to booking their flights, and also things like hotels are only booked by Starladder for X number of days, so flying in earlier would have been money out of the org's pocket. It's also very likely that they were expecting to have to play through the Shanghai qualifiers, so booking the flights earlier might not have made sense. For all we know earlier flights weren't even available. It's very easy to say in hindsight that they left it too late but there's definitely things to consider.

I mean.. you cant reason with this dude.. and i think its pretty clears its a troll...
its probably hunter_x smurf account or something...

These people... really funny, i love how all the hate spreads when Alliance is involved, maybe some of Alliance members have had a relationship with your girlfriends?
|
come on guys, take your pink glasses off. i am a known alliance hater, and everybody knows that. but they didnt even play in the shanghai qualifier, so whats their reason for flying there so late? i would be mad at liquid too, if they did something like that, its just stupid. if u even live in europe, there is no real excuse...
and no, i have no smurf account here...alliance is not important enough for me, to bitch about them all the time
|
I got the answer for you Kelly, because you're Alliance . But don't worry, their hate only make us stronger \o/

Hard to comprehend that maybe they thought they had to play Shangai qualifiers so they booked late flights?

and dont get me wrong, i would love to see liquid vs alliance, rather sooner then later. so i hope they can still make it.
@Meiffeltower you do me wrong here. maybe i dont like alliance, but i always respect true fans, who are behind their team, in good and bad times....

If that was Navi they would reschedule the entire event instantly.

i'm sorry if i upset you bro.. the comment about you was unnecessery, i didnt really think it was your smurf.. my intention was more to highlight the fact that people come here to just shitpost and stir up emotions for no good reason.. like if you dont like alliance or you cant understand people who cheer for them.. why do you think this is the correct place to post?
i dont think you have to be alliance fangay to post here but some people just come here to hate.. I even think its ok to question peoples affection for said team but alteast construct a decent post about it and dont make every sentece to sound like everyone here is stupid and wrong.
you are ok in my book hunter_x. (im actually liquid fanboi in everything except dota(GO Jinro and TaeJa))

Can we just forget about these thing for a next few days? I really want to watch some great Dota 2, we have some of, if not all of the best western team there which are trying to play the best Dota they can. Even tho i think some stupid things have been done by both sides, it would be shame that the event with such a great line-up of teams become hated because of some stupid mistakes

In some cases it is and in some cases it isn't. I admire people who are good at certain things and I find it more enjoyable to watch things when they are done on the highest level. Obviously this is a personal preferance but if you don't admire someone for their skill it seems to me you are left with personality worship. Which is something I'm incredibly uncomfortable with. I don't understand the concept of admiring unremarkable individuals. I do understand you want people you like to do well but I don't understand why you like them considering how little interaction you have with them and I would also draw a distinction between someone you like and someone you are a fan of. Being a fan implies something more then just liking them.
No of course, if the players are not in charge of fixing transportation it is not their fault. The person in charge of fixing transportation is the one to blame whoever that might be. Cancelations is a failry common occurance this time of year so it is a risk you are running if you don't go there in advance. No matter how you try to frame it it is not the organizers fault, and I certanly don't blame them for wanting to keep to a schedual. Just giving free wins to the teams Alliance was supose to play against results in a unfair advantage to the teams getting those free wins and it means less games - it reduces the quality of the viewer experience. I don't blame the organizers for wanting to avoid that. They could probably come to a solution but I don't see why they should settle for a lesser experience because Alliance wanted to cut it close with their travel plans.

hello ddayzy , alliance is tier 3 team and i am loving it , also its good to cheer the most hated dota team. feels like an antagonis. sure you are just boring protagonist.

Ok so alliance games are soon to come at this starladder and it seems Lone Druid is top tier pick.. How much LD will alliance play you think? Is it 100% 1st ban vs them? And if its not.. will alliance instapick it 1st phase?
What do you think? I think LD 1st ban vs Alliance all games tbh...

Well that escalated quickly. Sloppy stuff. They had that game in the bag for a long time. Edit: Though understandable considering the chaos during the last 24 hours.
