Is that 'state of the game' for dota2? What's the best podcast/show for dota2?

Arguably though alliance 2013 was the strongest in terms of drafting because there was simply little way of outdrafting. Then you ban wisp or prophet and they get bat. Or they will secure a naix bomb combo. They almost will always get what they want.

YEah, PPD Cost them the game, really, getting caught 2 times offguard, pretty bad. This and the ravage. I dont even blame Fear here, it looks like VG were so aware and always spread to avoid getting caught. Pretty sick games overall.

Nature's Prophet didn't really bring much to the team though. If they've gotten Enigma or something else for Zai I think it would be better. Or if Zai built more right-click on the NP instead of euls + sheep. Control is nice but in the end they simply lacked damage and it was nigh impossible to control VG with their insane mobility.

The problem is not the pick ,the problem is getting caught offguard 2 times in the last 5 mins. You have a teamfight hero that is dead before the teamfight even starts.

Also, Fear Brewmaster is pretty damn sick. That cyclone on alchemist and then dropping him for the self stun was ridiculously amazing play.

EG had no DPS with SF getting tank and only one damage item. Everyone else went full utility. The game was already over by the time PPD was caught out twice, and the reason PPD was such an easy target is because he's slow Omni and had to follow the cores around to provide protection. EG had to win earlier.

You have a teamfight hero that is dead before the teamfight even starts. their team didn't have sufficient lockdown/catch/push to force teamfights, vg were going to just completely dodge any semblance of a 5v5 via splitting until a catch happened. if they said "fuck it lets all push a lane and force them to defend," black invoker probably would've outraced them because he gets to start at the t3 and they have to push a lane all the way down, since vg was better at splitting and keeping the lanes on eg's side. it was like playing against a naga in a way, very hard to actually force a fight unless vg committed to something, and they weren't going to do anything risky since they were going for the slow smothering kill.

Basically at the late stage of the game, eg just didn't have any burst damage at all, while vici had 2 gigantic tanks.

I think the turning point was the rosh fight. PPD repeled zai instead of arteezy. If arteezy was repelled fight would of probably went EG's way and the whole game would of been different. Instead arteezy dies, and game starts heading south. I can't blame him too much, he had a split second to react before the deafening blast/meteor combo happened, might of been a misclick, or a heat of the moment misplay but it started their inability to carry through with their game plan.

Then Arteezy builds straight into a meka and it was a waste of 2300g because the way the game played out he was never involved in early game fights. If that 2300g had gone to building damage items or something then he probably would of been able to scale into the late game better and actually been able to kill things. Or if once that meka was complete they put it to use by 5 manning a little to get down towers, but instead they just let it do nothing.

Plus with the push potential that they had, it wasn't difficult to get Mek on the other heroes.

Don't they teach English in the US any more? And on topic of EG vs VG final game: RTZ's build was fine. Omni pick was fine. NP pick was a bit out of place and didn't synergize well with the team, didn't have enough impact. Zai built into control instead of damage. That's all there is to it really.
