The pos 5 DPS lich thing reeks of Manila's pos 5 batrider and support tinker. I'm sure it worked in scrims otherwise they wouldn't be first picking it, but it still seems iffy as fuck

One of the things I noticed in all their drafts yesterday was that they had absolutely no pushing power to kill buildings after winning team fights. Every time in the early and mid game, they would win team fights and then take absolutely no objectives, essentially making their team fight win worthless.

I didn't see all the games live but my impression from the games I've seen is that somehow the way they rotate to pressure is off. If I recall correctly at least g2 against OG and g2 against LFY were such that they had good lanes and all went well, but then they simply lost the lead by trying to pressure towers themselves. They had taken their safelane tower, and EE rotated somewhere else to pressure, but it just ends up being a waste of time and the enemy team catches up. Sometimes it felt like they should just play it slower rather than force the issue, but of course it doesn't need to be that big of a difference in timing for a move to work. Somewhat unsurprisingly the game they won was a Drow+Dusa strat. With such a lineup it's a bit easier to know what to do at each stage of the game imo.

They've also played against the top4 teams in the group, but they certainly didn't look that great in most of their losses. Some of their drafts have been weak. At least g1 against Newbee seemed pretty unwinnable. Against OG at least they had good early game heroes and they could play the game later even if their teamfight was weaker, but their other losses seem pretty miserable because they haven't really been able to do much. Unfortunately upper bracket is probably out of reach even if they won all the remaining games, but hopefully they can get some solid wins over the bottom half teams and find their groove in time for the playoffs.

C9 always seem to choke against Chinese teams. So far the games I've watched Fata has been choking hard and like spudde123 mentions, the rotation is off. EE should just play the hard farming core hes used to and pressure less. His farming seems to drop off as he tries to gank and move to other lanes.

Fata and TI is a bad combination. Every single TI that he has played, he has choked. EE is not doing particularly hot either this time around. I think he should go back to 4p1 and try to take pressure off of Fata to carry games and put him on spacemakers instead.
