well fata always has a spam hero so his tower isn't getting pushed and he farms well. you can't also go both aggro and zone out offlane so they're basically only losing one lane. granted, that lane loses very hard and it's usually bone's lane. but it buys them enough time to get the levels they need and a couple blinks and then u can't fight into them.

That game 2 against Asus was fantastic. Still scared about them vs a Naga but this mobility and map control has been top notch.

Imo the difference is not only that they're playing individually better, all of their players obviously have a lot of skill.

What stands out for me besides their peculiar, clearcut objective minded drafting style(which they have been developing for a longer time than it might seem)is that their teamwork seems way more crisp and the decision making is way more focused and in sync. Seems like the team is more on the same page than they were before and that they have good leadership and good discipline to play their strats. Also, those drafts force them to play not clowny.

While it's not exactly 16-0 at DAC, 14-0 against high level teams is not an easy feat. Whether it's EE's better drafting to C9's strengths, FATA and Misery being the stability for the team or Misery and n0tail finally adjusting to the team I think they found their rhythm.

this last game is proof that it's 80% on the draft. like they had to outplay hr so hard to win it wasn't funny. if this was empire of polar they woulda lost in 30 mins.

Even with good draft, you have to execute it well. They only had problems against HR, because their draft was in fact weaker. Strong individual play and team synergy are as important as good drafting...

Their draft had issues taking a straight 5on5 fight without a big advantage, but their pickoff potential and split push potential was far greater. The game was imo well in c9's control, they had massively outfarmed HR and imo with the 2nd aegis they could have just run over HR and ended the game, and it would have looked like an easy win. But c9 tried to get a pickoff mid, Abaddon happened to be behind the guy and instantly took the lasso off, and then c9 was overconfident in their lead, continued to chase under the t2 mid and the Ember also happened to have just picked up a DD in his bottle. Having used their best lockdown already and taking far more damage than they expected from the Ember c9 lost 3 members here including Fata and EE, HR got time to push in lanes, HR got more map control with the NS aghs, and moments later they even got a rosh. After that fight, rosh gold etc. the QoP also got his progression for hex accelerated, which gave HR the tools to actually catch c9 when they were split pushing, when previously they had nothing to prevent it. The game was pretty close in the end, but imo it was also close to being a straightforward win for c9 had they played the mid game a bit more patiently and waited for a chance to get rosh before charging at HR under their towers.
