How exactly does rune control have anything to do with a BoT tinker? In fact I think it has zero to do with BoT tinker. So no it solves nothing. You will already have a full bottle when you tp into the lane. The problem is the raw mana pool you need to march rearm and if there's a hero nuke is just so high that soul ring helps you by removing the cost of rearm basically.

On other heroes, Soul Ring is a sustained mana restore item. But because of how it interacts with Tinker specifically, repeatedly rearming Soul Ring is worth the value of like 2 Energy Boosters in mana for less than the cost of 1.

Motg + HSM, since the range on that is essential to sniping people earlier on. Laser also does good burst, but nobody does massive damage from auto-attacks early on, so the disable pales in comparison to HSM Range + multiple hits.

Almost always laser + hsm. Lane control doesn't really mean pushing creeps when you a solo player. Laser is also pure damage, people seem to forget that.

always get missle... no one get 3rd skill until you can actually travel everywhere...

the combo laser missle nuke coulkd give you free kills on squishy such as CM or veng once you hit lv 7 lv 6.

Max laser > missle > ulti> 3rd skill

also i dont think you have the right definition of 'lane control'

Tinker is always solo mid, just as Beast or tiny or 'pudge'. They are heavily rely able on rune so once every 2 mins you just need to push the creep wave a bit by attacking aggressively (for BM you get 1 level aura occasionly) and get rune once the wave is pushed to the enemy tower. Other than that i dont think 'lane control' = push the lane bc u cant last hit :-/

I think Konadora is asking what would your skillbuild would be if you wanted to play a pushing Tinker, right? So in that case MOTG is mandatory obviously, and then the 2nd skill you max would be HSM.

March is pretty pointless until you have BoTs, and in an average game, you'll get BoTs around the time where you're starting to put levels into March.

Until you have BoTs, pretty much all your influence on the game is your obscene Laser+HSM burst. Get a good rune, go 1-shot a sidelane. Or 1-shot mid if they underestimate your burst and stay in lane at like 2/3 HP.

You still are a pushing tinker if you go laser+rockets. You only really start pushing once you got mana to be able to push which by that time you have BoT up and enough levels to have at least 1/2 levels in march. You aren't going to be able to push at level one with march so I see no reason to get it that early.

He's a pushing tinker though.....you'll be more all over the place pushing with march and when push comes to shove, you rather have HSM in a teamfight than a Laser, but I could see how you CAN make arguments for Laser.

Ok I misread that I guess! Yeah I agree, Lazer+HSM is best pushing tinker, and standard. I was under the impression Kona wanted to get March in the build to push towers.

Practically speaking, even for a "pushing tinker", there's no sense in having March that early. Hell, most of the time when you push as Tinker, you should be double-Marching waves. Single-Marching a creep wave every 35 seconds barely qualifies as "pushing", and even if you got ult at 6 (which you shouldn't), you wouldn't have the mana to support that--BoTs lets you double-March a wave, TP home, then TP back in to double-March the next one, which is why Tinker pushes so fast.

What dictates how quickly Tinker can start free-pushing is when he get's his BoT's, period. Having high ranks of March is almost irrelevant, because even with 1st or 2nd rank March, you can Rearm and cast it as many times as is necessary to clear the wave, so long as you can TP home and refill between waves. Because of this, the most important thing early is to be getting farm and getting kills, which Laser+HSM does better than any build that gets March early.

honestly, getting MOTM instead of laser early is only viable if you're laning against Sand King or something, and even then you're likely to get flamed unless you're Dendi

yeah i meant pushing tinker lol. cus like 2 years back i'd stick to march/laser or march/hsm depending on hero i'm middle-ing against, but now the metagame has changed

because even with march/laser, it forced a lot of mid heroes (especially melee) to go back to heal or spend lots on regen while getting more guaranteed creep kills + pushes the lane much faster. with that more creep kills and faster tower, my bot was up much faster (usually lvl 7-9 with bottle)

but now there's new items new meta so idk if it's viable or not

like I posted a you tube video a few post earlier that showcases how effective ganking with blink can be in pubs, and you do 371 dmg with both nukes at lvl 5 I dont see how you can solo gank effectively then

You have to get hit by 9 goblins in order for March rank 2 to do more damage than Laser rank 2. That's pretty much only possible if you choose to just stand inside March. And that's not even considering the fact that Laser has 2/5 the CD, and is less mana intensive.
