for reference how amazingly fun tinker can be :
Dayum, now I want to go play Tinker. I remember I used to skill March of the Machines way early and just push, push, push forever. I didn't even care about the hero kills, I just wanted to ruin buildings. This looks quite a bit above my level, but that's what is going to make it fun learning. At least, that's what I think now.
Also, still don't dare trying invoker
Don't really like a blink/dagon build myself, seems purely pubstompy etc. and it's not even needed
I'd with a bottle -> soul ring -> force staff -> hex build myself. With that you can first of all have amazing mobility tricks with force staff and second of course solo Axe from 3000 hp to 0 without him being able to do anything about it

its way more fun and you have more mobility with blink than with forcestaff and if you get a fast dagon you can go like 30-0 and just kill anyone that dares coming close to a creepwave

sheep > shiva imo.... @_@ you either pushing every lane so your team cant farm, or just doing overly well to make it count.
i dont like soulring on tinker tbh, i have never had trouble with mana using bottle and dealy your BoT is never a good idea. In a normal game i often get bot around lv 9-10, good farm good kill level 8.

I really don't see the reason to go for blink instead of force staff?

laser + hsm?
cus i tend to go motg + hsm for that early farm and lane control

Gigantic mana problems without soul ring, I have no idea how it's possible for you to not have them o_o

No need for Force before Sheep unless you're doing really poorly. Your farming speed skyrockets after BoT, and having Hex that early in the game is utterly game-changing.

"Lane control"?
Laser gives you way more lane control because of your obscene early burst damage and the blind debuff from Laser, which makes it impossible to trade autoattacks with you after getting lasered.
yea the standard build for tinker is max laser rocket then 1 rearm and max march
and items is bottle bot's soulring hex
but making blink dagon instead of hex is way more fun and why would you go shivas first, that would be good if you could rearm bkb but now you just get killed if you try to use shivas in a teamfight, hex is the way to go
forcestaff is 600 range blink is 1200 you get force for positioning in teamfights and to tp out of lanes, you get blink to gank

You think so? Mmm I see every pro go for a Force Staff and I think that Tinker can really use it because he has no proper escape or approaching tools. From my experience it's incredibly useful and I prefer it over rushing Hex right away, but I guess it depends on the situation.

I still don't see how it's more fun to have pure dmg instead of crowd control but I guess people have their own tastes.
Oh yeah and you shouldn't ignore the fact that 1. Force Staff gives stats 2. Force Staff can be used to escape and 3. Force Staff can be used on other people as well and 4. Force Staff uses way less mana
And yeah the thing with Soul Ring is that it lets you for instance antipush for forever with rearmed Ws and the soul ring along with bottle charges usually makes the opponents just give up on the turret whereas otherwise you could only do it like 3 times or whatever.

You get Soul Ring after BoT, and it's really a matter of convenience. An alternative is to get 1-2 Null Talismans which buffer more of your stats overall (but take up more slots and will get sold earlier). SR basically makes Rearm cost nothing (since the 150 mana simply covers the cost of Rearm). This makes your mana management easier, and lets you fit noticeably more combos in before you have to TP home.

I've usually seen pros go Sheep first, at least in games where they're doing well. Force first is more common in rough games, because saving all the way to Sheep is much harder if you can't farm at full speed.

im not ignoring those things im just saying you can solo gank right when you get blink since they cant escape you when you tp and blink on them and you can chase easly with blink because it has more range and if you got for force staff you can only solo gank after you get hex which will not be that fast, ofc this is only for pubs but its more fun cuz you start killing people a lot faster than than going for hex and just farming for 30 minutes
Soulring will pay itself after quite a short amount of time because of the less time spent at fountain. If there's any hero where soulring belongs on its Tinker. But yes, you get it after BoT. Didn't someone post a link to a tinker guide recently? It covered pretty much everything from what I remember.
Tinker can "solo gank" incredibly well starting from like lvl 5 or whatever. You don't need a BoT or blink for that.
However how were you even planning on solo ganking with BoT and a blink? You blink to them and what? You die instantly? I think you should rather play clockwork or something

Blink is fine on Tinker, but I like it much better later (at least after Sheep for a couple reasons).
1) Blink->Sheep is a lot more useful than Blink->Laser
2) Blink only really makes full use of Rearm on the higher ranks of Rearm, which you won't get till mid-late game. When you're using 1st rank Rearm, which takes 3 seconds to cast, it's too likely that you'll take damage, meaning that you'll be locked out of using Blink anyway.
