Ward his camps, kill him in the jungle push their towers down so they lose map control among other things.

Also your spectre probably got the wrong items and sucks at farming.

Btw, is midas a good alternative for battle fury on void? Yes, in public games where the other team doesn't have an obvious push lineup. You get 6/11 of a hyperstone and +100gpm for 1/3 of the price of BF. Attack speed is great for void and you can do something like midas/treads/vanguard/damage items. Ignore anyone who says you get BF for AOE damage in chrono... void is all about destroying a hero (or two) while his team is disabled. If the hero you're attacking is chrono'd you're probably using that spell wrong. ye all the pros that go bf on void and use it to kill heros inside chronosphere must be doing something wrong you dont get bf or midas because they are cost effective (they are both shit in cost effectiveness), you get them to farm faster but with a bf you are at least not completely useless for 30 minutes endt: and why would you go vg on void :S
2009 believes Vanguard+Mjollnir is a decent alternative to BF builds. BF->Yasha/BKB/BFly is definitely more conventional though.

Right now I'm forcing myself to buy midas on every hero, just to try it for a whole week. Half of the games it feels like the most amazing item, and the other half it is trash.
It doesn't even have to do with the hero, I got a lot out of it playing maiden, go figure.

Midas is fine if you finish it in like the first 5 minutes of the game, so it doesn't hurt your early item development too much.
You don't buy Midas *instead* of other items. The item itself doesn't really do anything. If you're buying Midas, it's because you can get it IN ADDITION to your normal items. If buying Midas is hurting your normal item development, it means you shouldn't be getting Midas.

There is one bit you are missing, for supports it is coming really late (obvious reasons) but they come in hand. The gold and xp I get really helps with that "cornered" feel you get when trying to turtle for a comeback. But yea, as I said, it's just for fun, I might try force staff next week, or tranquil boots.

So now it's supporting to build bad items? Support shouldn't take farm and should harrass.
And yes Invoker can play every role except tank. Or basically support, initiator, ganker, carry, pusher

Invoker can get quite tanky with quas regen if you max quas first (I believe you can have the regen of a heart of tarresque at level 12 or 13). I don't know what this tank role you are talking about is though.

Well invoker is actually a pretty terrible tank though I guess you could build him like that if you need to, still he gets outclassed by anyone tanky at the role so it makes no sense

regen doesnt matter with his stat growth, HP+EHP is actually what matters

How do you guys build Tiny when you play? Arcanes>Blink>Aghs? or Armor item like AC? Also what level do you guys get grow? I've toyed around with getting it at 6 and other times with getting it after maxing toss and avalanche.

a while ago there was some math tests telling that getting grow at lvl 6 did more dmg than getting toss. I don't really know the true, but I don't think it matters that much. so do as you like.
as for build, arcane is good, blink is a must have, euls is pretty good, forcestaff is always good, aghs is a good item for pushing.
you can also get a dagon to autokill some key hero on the other side. AC is a good item I guess, I myself prefer the caster tiny (shivas for armor) over the attackspeed/dmg one.

I'm just trying to think what would be good in pubs. The caster tiny or the pusher tower destroyer tiny. I have been leaning towards the tower destroyer tiny. Would you get the armor first or the aghs? After the blink. Obv when you blink in if you don't get a lot of heroes in the stun then you're kinda fucked with the shitty armor tiny has.

You can either go aval > toss > ulti (traditional build), or toss > ulti > aval (what some pro teams have been doing recently)
