Well just think about it. By maxing avalance you get what, 80(lvl 6, 7) -> 40(lvl 8) extra dmg and no other benefits?(Assuming playdota numbers are correct)

Whereas by getting ulti at 6 you get: 20 movespeed, 50 more attack damage(guaranteed lasthits and denies), and like 30~ extra damage for toss.

Easy choice for me, though Avalanche is better for farming.

Are you accounting for the fact that Avalanche does multiple times damage when a tossed unit is hit? Getting his max combo ASAP is rediculous - it is far more than the sum of its parts, and the main reason why Tiny is good.
Eagerly awaiting Techies.

No because usually that doesn't happen, even pros almost always use toss first (Or avalanche way before)

Unless it works differently in dota2 I have no idea

I have a question for those who have played Leshrac. I was watching The Defense, and not going to mention which game it was. But the build that the player went for was going heavy heavy lightning. has anyone gone with this sort of build and what did you think?

For myself, I was thinking that it would be interesting going for the build. I am just unsure how I should go about secondary skill. Lightning is nice is that, it can bounce off and hit the hero (without having to time it perfectly), and it is easier on the mana. But you do lose either the early kill possibility or tower kill. Which is dependent on either going with edict or split earth.

So yeah, what do you all suggest? Perhaps heavy lightning, 2 points in earth, and than max out edict so can potentially tower kill. I am still learning Leshrac (and loving the hero), so thinking of other variations.

Is it confirmed that it works properly now?

lightning is the best build, imo. Not for killing purposes necessarily, but you can just sit there and get ridiculous farm while also harassing spamming lightning

changes look good to me,

not being able to EMP tornado'd units might be significant.

interesting aghanim DS change, probably drop off in usage now.
huge tweaks on invoker, but i think it may be too detrimental (well actually maybe not)

ember spirit nerfed way too hard i think, awesome hero but why so much

honestly, looks like all directions are going back to older aoe based heroes now.

oh nevermind...

Build wise, what do you suggest?

I was thinking maybe:

L > Edict > Edict > L > ES > L > Edict > L > Edict...

Buh, I am not sure lol. I keep trying to switch the skills around but I just do not know. I am wanting Lightning maxed first than edict, but at least 1 point in ES. Argh, just not sure.

Agreed with what you said on everything. Interesting that a lot of heroes that were already picking up popularity in those AoE comps got buffs (Pugna, QoP, etc.).

30 minutes in, our highest (spectre with 8 kills) is lvl 17, he's 22
he has midas bfury treads manta aegis basher

wipes whole team

team goes from 13 kills ahead to instant-lose

wtf

how do you even stop that? constant gank?

Ward his camps, kill him in the jungle push their towers down so they lose map control among other things.

Also your spectre probably got the wrong items and sucks at farming.

spectre with typical phase boots vanguard radiance and manta by then

I would assume they felt it isn't abusive anymore to be able to do that, since the courier is invulnerable while in fountain anyway.

Sange & Yasha
- Sange and Yasha can now be disassembled

that's a nice change. Certain heroes prob can go SnY mid game then disassemble late game and turn it into halberd.

amusing Ogre Magi, Nerubian Assassin, Naga Siren changes
+ Show Spoiler +

Ogre Magi
- Added Aghanim's Scepter
+ Show Spoiler +
Gives his other head the ability to cast a more primitive version of Fireblast. It has a constant (not modified by ultimate/level) 275 damage, 1.5 second stun, 20 cooldown, 400 manacost. It can trigger multicast. This is an independent 5th skill added to his ability card.

Nerubian Assassin
- Urna Swarm replaced with a new spell
+ Show Spoiler +
Urna Swarm will be reused for a future hero.

Spiked Carapace:
=================
Temporarily enhances the Assassin's chitinous armor with organic barbs, causing him to prevent and reflect the next player based damage instance and stuns the target. Lasts 4.5 seconds.

Duration: 4.5 seconds
Damage return: 100% (after resistance on your hero)
Stun: 0.6/1.2/1.8/2.4
Cooldown: 10
Manacost: 50

Note: Only triggers on player based damage, both physical and magical. Does not prevent status debuffs. Spikes visually grow out of the hero when he is in this state.

Naga Siren
- Changed Rip Tide cast mechanism
+ Show Spoiler +
Rip Tide now casts in a 450 aoe around naga and all of her illusions. Enemies can be fully affected by the Illusion's aoe. The effect does not stack. No longer uses cast point.
rejection and peace tiramisu. I think that went well.
