Finally barbs can branch out to dps and these mad demon hunters are crying nerf. It's not like it's a herp derp hold left click mouse button build, and there is a chance for you to fuck up and not generate fury. I thought diablo was all about finding builds that synergies well. I've been nervously reading around, and haven't seen anything official on the subject. The build requires care to use, it's very different from how many other builds play, and you also have to change keybinds around for it to be possible in the first place. I've read lots of posts from people who have tried and failed (or are doing badly with far better gear than me) so I do believe it requires a moderate amount of skill to pull off. I think it'd be a real shame if it were nerfed, but we'll see what happens. My concern is that they do some heavy-handed change and make it totally useless, but I'd be ok with a change that prevented barbs from taking down massive swarms of enemies (eg 3+ champion packs + whites simultaneously).

I just created this character for achievements and levelled to 60 using overpowered gear (reduced lvl req). I kind of skipped Inferno (only did last quests of each act) so, I have absolutely no idea how this class is supposed to work. I tried reading through the thread a bit but most of the recent talk is about the ww/sprint barbarian which requires crit gear and I don't have any. Apparently diablo is supposed to be a faceroll (?) but somehow I get killed by my clone in phase 2 (lol). I am hesitant to spend gold on this guy on upgrades because I don't think I'll play much on this character later. Most of my equipment are self found or some cheap thing from the AH so they might be bad, but I figured they should be enough for this fight. Here are my stats and equipment (unbuffed): + Show Spoiler + ![]() Summary: I need a nice working build and maybe some tips on solo inferno diablo or criticism on my gear. Sorry for being bad :p If you only need to kill diablo without worrying about getting 5 stacks, you can totally put together a build for that purpose. Something like this should work: Frenzy Sidearm - basic attack Sprint Marathon - so you can run around whenever the clone is around and also to avoid the bone traps War Cry Impunity - extra armour and resists Leap Iron Impact - short term armour buff and you can use it to jump over diablo when she commits to slow attack so you can get some hits from behind WotB Insanity - for a huge short term buff to damage The final active skill can be either battle rage or ignore pain depending if you want more dps or more defense. Same thing for the passives: you can go with nerves of steel, tough as nails and superstition for heavy defense or swap in weapon master or ruthless for a bit more damage.

9500 DPS 880 LoH 10500 Armor (with Warcry) 800 RA/900 Phys (with Impunity) 40k HP Is it doable, or do I need to improve my stats a little?

Pretty sure Kripparrian was able to clear Inferno with similar gear (I think he had less damage as well).

If I'm using the Thrive on Chaos Rune for Wrath of the Berserker (every 25 fury gained while in WOTB adds 1 sec to the duration), and I also use the passive unforgiving (regen 1 fury every 2 secs), does the fury gained from the passive contribute to the duration of WOTB?

I don't see why not, fury is fury. But keep in mind you actually have to be gaining fury for Thrive on Chaos to take effect. If you are at max fury, any fury you generate won't count towards the 25 fury needed.

It probably does, but the rate of fury regen is so slow that WotB would be done for 35s by the time you accumulated enough fury for 1 extra second. At the moment I think Into the Fray + Run Like the Wind is the best way to keep up fury production.

I don't think gear of that caliber comes "cheap." edit: apologies, I was referring to Kripp's Sprint/WW build

There are other less-explored options, like Attack Speed+Mighty Weapon with Weapon Master. I'm thinking of trying that since I'm dual wielding with a mighty weapon main hand. I'd need a fury spender for that also, and Hammer of the Ancients seems like a solid pick.
