I think i've found one of the most efficient farming spot for barbs in 1.0.3. Using sprint & 190k DPS to blast through Festering Woods, the Crypts, and the Warden/Butcher for super fast A1 runs.. fills up two tabs of rares in ~3 runs. Each run takes about 15 mins to 20 mins max.
I think it's one of the most efficient places to farm cause a) it's really hard to die, b) I hoard tons of rares and even though most are garbage, salvaged mats add up. I find a level 63 rare every 1 or 2 runs. A decent amount of 61s and 62s drop as well.
With the Inferno nerf it is easy to farm Act 3 but it might not be so easy with sprint on. This farm run goes by so especially fast because of sprint.

I'm watching your stream, why aren't you wearing some gear pieces? And do you have magic find gear?

Would someone who is doing sprint/WW build tell me if this weapon is any good for that kind of build..
Plz ignore the HoC.

I'm using the sprint/WW build but am only in act2 right now, so my experience isn't huge. However, I have read a lot into it, and basically you want to be dual wielding or using a shield. Reasons:
- A two handed weapon hits far slower than a 1H weapon, so it will be more difficult to:
- Receive enough healing from your LOH
- Crit frequently enough to maintain enough rage for the build to work
- If you use a shield offhand, you can get another +10% crit (good for low-geared barbs)
- If you use another weapon offhand for dual wield, you can stack up large amounts of LOH and +crit damage
If you can get attackspeed items to get that 2H weapon up to a fast speed, though, I don't see why not. EDIT: though I would definitely recommend an axe/mace if you are going 2H spec, as the +crit chance from the passive is going to be even more crucial as you are hitting less frequently.

Have any of you inferno barbs tried stacking +life regen items?
After a quick peruse through the auction house, my calculator tells me that with (relatively non-expensive) life regen items you could get up to 3700 life per tick. Now, bear in mind that heals can crit! This means on my barb (46.5% crit, +131% crit bonus) would be getting an average of 5800 health / tick. That seems like a pretty fantastic amount of health to get passively.

doesn't life regen tick twice a second? If you could get such regen, I'm pretty sure it would be infinitely better than LoH.

Didn't really answer my question Is this specific weapon good for that? does it have enough crit dmg etc.

Didn't really answer my question Is this specific weapon good for that? does it have enough crit dmg etc. He sorta did. Your weapon does not have any life on hit on it, which might be the most important aspect of the build. That is the reason why people will dual wield, so they can get life on hit from two weapons. Also with a slow weapon, your tornadoes won't hit as many times than if you had more attacks per second.
I've gone through Act 2 with around 25,000 dps with battle rage up (~600dps weapons), and stuff dies pretty quickly. Having super high weapon dps isn't crucial to the build, though it's nice. You should just want 1-handers with both a lot of Life on hit and maybe some crit damage.

I sorta wish attack speed wasn't nerfed because crit items with strength are starting to get very expensive. I regret not buying a good crit amulet before the patch came out.

I would hope they don't nerf crit chance, I don't care as much about crit damage.

I wish they would stop nerfing and just make a new difficulty after inferno I had so much fun slowly getting stronger untill that happy kill-diablo-day.

been doing the WW?sprint build.
now in act3. 1600 str 680 vit
hilarious feels like melee DPS dota champ who needs to keep atk to stay alive, very funt o play.
|
What is this WW, sprint build? Curious before I make a full switch to crit build.
|
playing melee with decent dmg and not going full tank as barb in act3/4 is ridiculous expensive. dont even bother without tanklike allres and 1000+ loh or real high dps and ll (even worse to afford). if you only got like 200-300 allres, you could as well use none, because you will fail just like that. and the worst part imho is the time you gotta spent in the gold ah. its such a huge shithole and that one decent item which pops up every hour or so is the one some guy will grab 1 sec before you.
somehow blizzard gotta make that money. cant let people play that game like that want. where are we? diablo 2? hell no ...

+ Show Spoiler [Original post] +I'm back from my month long haitus. Here's a recap: I was able to solo act 1 extremely easily and had difficulty with Act 2. I think I managed to push about half way into Act 2 before it was unbearable. So, before I left 3+ weeks ago, I sold all my equipment on the AH for 5mil. Now I'm back and I want to spend the 5mil re-gearing my barb. I would like to know what people suggest I buy since I'm starting from a blank slate. I know it's not a large amount of gold so obviously I can't splurge on the best items but I'd like to have an idea so I can look for deals. Here's everything I have: ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/uqCOQ.png) I had the belt and amulet from before and I just bought the pants for 100k and the chest for 245k. I'm sure I'll have to replace the belt but the amulet is pretty sweet at req level 38. I'm thinking of doing the same sort of 1h+shield tankyish build and I'd like to do Act 2/3 if possible. Edit: Trying to get an idea of what stats are desirable these days on different pieces of items. I'm not going to buy a stormshield or other legendaries that are super expensive but I can look for deals on items with similar stats. Edit2: Neither of those purchases were particularly good, lol. I need to look around at current prices for things. I think the spoiler asks for too much help so maybe I can get some general advice instead. What are crit builds all about and how valuable are different stats now?
In the same vein, what are the different builds that people are playing? e.g. Two hander build which focuses on crit damage, or one hand+shield that focuses on resist all and vitality, or throwing build, or whatever. Would help give me an idea of what is possible and why some items are more desirable than others.
