I basicly feel kind of torn on what stats to upgrade next, and considering whatever it is will cost me all I got I want to do the best choice. Obvious improvement imho would be to go for +25% movement speed (either wanderlust or tyrael's might). You will take of course a pretty big hit in dps, but faster movement/better kiting is worth it. Best would probably be a 3sock tyraels, but good luck getting one. | ||

I have just been focusing damage untill now, but I haven't really noticed much difference from 110k and 130k, then again as you can see in the inventory I have tried being tanky as well, but that either doesn't feel too succesful. And all I am good at in D3 is AH, I beat diablo like two days ago literally so I am by no means good. I just can afford expensive gear, also I do read up on what I can so I know popular builds. But I have no clue what the end game wizard should be, is it just like 200k damage and melt even act 4 stuff before it hits you, or is it super tanky with a shield and 100k+ damage? Also despite my great feeling of achievement from figuring out how to get an image of my stats up I wonder how I can take a picture of all my gear like I see some have. But if I wasn't clear enough in my question, I wonder, what is the next goal for me? is it to be so tanky that I can take on anything? is it to have so much damage I can kill anything before it touches me? If tanky, then what should I do to achieve that, more hp? resi? armor? those weirder stats like reduced dmg from elite/range/melee? better block chance? or if damage (and this is where I suspect that spreadsheet you mentioned might help, if I understand what that is correctly.), what stats will boost it the most? And I ask also you try see it from my situation when you say such things, how do I ask for help about stats without people taking your first reaction when I got expensive gear? Should I just half all stats and write them instead? I don't think that would give me relevant answers, I am fully aware people can if they so chose to, see it as "showing off", but when it isn't, how do I relay that message? That I am just looking for actual help, since tbh I am just a scrub wizard with like 100 hours played. Only reason for good stats is expensive items since I play the AH (which I have like 5x the time played on compared to my wizard ._. sad I know...) | ||

Well my post above sort of answered the items part, I just today managed to figure out a way to take a picture of my stats, I can do 1 item also, but how people get all their items nicely next to each other is beyond me. An additional additional question, at what point should I upgrade my gems? Upgrade gems when the relative cost to upgrade them compared to a piece of armor is much lower. For example, if it costs you 10mil to gain 50 intel through upgrading your pants, it may be more efficient to gain the extra intel through the ~1mil it costs to upgrade gems. | ||

My stats: 27k hp 34.7k dps (force armor and scoundrel) 7-800 all resist (with armor buff) 561 life per sec 4.9k armor Attack speed: 1.28 (not much but its too expensive to find a new 1020dps 1hander wand atm for me) My thought is, I should be able to complete act 2 with this stats, they are not that bad except damage. Any build you guys use to progress with? Any idea what safe build to use against spiderling elites, which electrifies the entire room from time to time, teleports over to you, and we might as well call them speedlings? If it was open, it would be easier, but a tiny room like the betrayers cave is harder. | ||

Run it through a calculator ... i would recommend this one , super easy to use (use the right side of it , and fill in your gear) http://gulfstatesairspecialists.com/damagecalc/index.html My 800 dps one hander with crit crit and a handfull of int and asp ... doesnt get beaten by 1200 dps with 100% crit | ||

Oh lawd that's some top gear right there. How long does it take for you to farm act 3? Reason I'm asking is if its 1hr+ to full clear act 3, you might want to think abotu switching to Melee spec. All you need is a weap swap for LOH and maybe a shield and you're good to go with the rest of the gear. PM me if you need advice. | ||

Also hope someone with that can help me on what item to upgrade next. edit: I currently got about 55 mill to upgrade with, but I should be able to get 40 mill more if I sell some items I got. editedit: picture of stats on previous page. getting more life/allres should be first goal. other then that id start dropping out alot of the attackspeed , it just inflates your displayed dps and hurts your dmg/arcane. and in the end you wont notice that much of a dmg drop outside of bossfights like butcher/belial/azmo where you just stand and fire for a long time. i personally would rather drop 30k dps in ias and try to get really nice hp/res. for example im not 100% convinced about my new weapon yet (1062dps ,socket, 1xx int) since while i gained almost 9k dps i lost like 5k life (39->34k) which is just as noticeable vs some mobtypes and elite groups. | ||

@BeMannerDuPenner I use archon so I don't rely on arcane power at all, hence why off hand doesn't have arcane on hit. So as far as I understood, going archon attack speed was one of the better dps stats, but is that just wrong? as for life and allres, which slots should I aim to get that on? I am still looking for a tyrael's might for movement speed, is that a slot I should aim for resi and vit? (can I get that even?) And only 12 minutes later of editing, here is my tank items: ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/gTbpx.jpg) Should I try use all of them, or rather, which ones should I use? edit: also for lifesteal/LoH where and what should I get it? I do have an amulet with 600, but otherwise horrible stats, so far only used it against reflect damage elites. | ||
