That actually matters to some people. Some people will spend an entire hour making a nice looking character in a game like Dark Souls or Skyrim. Barbs in D3 look like space marines, and you can't mod it to look nice like a game such as Torchlight. lol. I've never even bothered to customize how my character looks. Except lovely dye to complete achievements lol.

You can play the game how you want, you just lack the gear to play the style you want at the content you want. Just improve your gear and that changes.
And no, you can't play as efficiently a wizard in a barb style, as that would make people playing barb angry that they can't play the way they want with the class supposed to play like that.

Well when you gear your character in such a dumb way and pay 19 mill for a shield on a wizard it's bound to be worse than a lot of classes.
|
Maybe if looks is the more important part of your character this is not the game for you.
also lol at 19 mil for that shield.

hey guys. i'm kinda poor not like everyone who has 100M+, i only have 5M. wanting to upgrade but not sure where to start, farming act 2 but kinda need a tank to help me out. 32k life, 4.5k armour, 33k dps, 350res...really low crit like 8% at 80% damage...not sure where to go as all upgrades seem so expensive...i don't care if my AO drains mana so dps doesn't worry me. running 1h/source at the moment
if i want to go down the crit route, what are the %s i should be aiming for? 25% chance with 250% damage? what pieces of items should be targeting to achieve those stats?
thanks for the help

Ok, so I am looking to upgrade my weapon. I want one with:
1100+dps socket 50% crit damage+
But they are all for like half a bill, do I really need to go up there for those weps?
My current 1 hander got: 1120 dps socket 150 int
only cost me 200 mill, but it just seems if I want +crit I have to more than double that :/
Also wondering if anyone know of some huge trade channels, if I could get -15% on the wep by trading it in a game I would rather do that

I can see an argument for it in HC, though.

a good shield is gonna be way better pvp than an orb
|
and its always worth it to never die pve

Currently seeking couple upgrades
Helm: Currently have 115 Int / Vit and 2.5 crit with a socket. What would be a good investment for an upgrade stat wise?
Ring: Currently have 70 int / 7 ias need a better affordable option.
Waist: Currently have 120 Int / Vit belt need a better affordable option.
Thanks for the input I really enjoy the help I get from feedback here.

Not so sure, losing 30-35k damage to get a shield seems like a huge sacrifice.
Taking from WoW arena, mages sac pretty much everything for damage, surviving on the bare minimum. Of course it can go completely different, but that high damage dealers sac most survivability for increased damage is often a trend due to huge efficiency.

I found IAS/crit damage way more cost efficient than pure crit/crit damage or even triple rings. IAS is still a good dps stat. That is if you already at a good crit level.

Dunno about that. Sac everything for damage ? In WoW ? I played the earlier arena seasons and it wasnt like that at all. But really hard to speculate on pvp now, when we basicly know nothing about how much damage is reduced and how skills are altered.

just got my hands on a source, what would you do:
1. (if someone can pricecheck too id appreciate it)
vs
2. 88-344 dmg 72int 78vit 8.5crit also 36str,113 dex and 16%mf
with the 1st i lose 3.3k life and 800 dps. its not like im short on life atm and the ap on crit really is handy but still its a good chunk that i lose. then again maybe i could play without a signature spell and add sparkflint or blizzard.
stats atm:40k life, ~600ar (prismatic), 65k dps buffed at 32.5 crit/251 critdmg

how did you get it up to 32.5 crit? source + glove + helm? wouldn't mind getting one of those 2 sources off you...although i'm quite poor =[

I'd stick with your current unless you find yourself often short on AP or want to try out a no sig build. Infact maybe give the no sig a try and see how it goes and then decide.

You can stack a lot more than 32.5 if you max out on every slot.
Edit: Max without legendaries is 49.5 with shield, 48 with source Glove: 10 Offhand: 10 for shield, 8.5 for source Ring: 4.5 x 2 Amulet: 8.5 Helm: 6 Bracer: 6

did 2 runs, one with blizz instead of mm and one with sparkflint. its def possible but im not sure yet if its worth it. also not having a fast projectile sucks vs some mobs...

I'm trying out the crit mass archon/twister build, and although improved archon is absolutely melting everything in A1, twister is not helping. It rarely to almost never crits, and I'm at 32.5% crit chance. I'm able to get more crits and reduce my cooldowns much faster by just using AO, with seems to crit at least 1/3 of the time, while I can count on one hand the number of yellow hits I've seen from twisters in an entire butcher run. Did this get nerfed recently, or do you just need higher (40-50% crit chance) to make this work?
|
For me at least, twister crits arent yellow. I get all white #s, but my cds behave as though the passive is kicking in.
