Firstly, I am hovering around 16k HP/18k DPS (with all buffs) using the Blizzard/Hydra + Piercing Orb or MM (Seeker) for bosses. My resists are around 300~400 with Energy Armor. I can't take a picture atm since the servers just went down but I'll take one tomorrow morning. All help is appreciated! I mean this in the best way, but you are in for a rather rude awakening from the first champion/elite pack you come across in Inferno with just 16k HP, even with Energy Armor. Imagine how many nasty combos you ran into in Hell and then think about adding a fourth ability to the mix. I'd recommend stacking up Neph Valor and blowing through Act 3 or 4 again to farm up some money to buy yourself a few pieces of premium gear. I also am running Blizzard/Venom Hydra, with MM Seeker and Tap the Source AO (130 arcane power with items). Seeker is incredible since you can bounce it around corners to hit mobs that would otherwise gib you if they had line of sight on you. Other skills are Diamond Skin with increased absorb and Teleport with Fracture. Illusionist, Arcane Dynamo and Glass Cannon for passives. I have to say it's a mobile and survivable spec, though I wasn't doing enough damage fast enough when I was using an armor as a skill - the enrage timer is a bitter pill to swallow the first time you come across it. It was rough for awhile but having 46.4k health now seems to have stabilized me a bit. Bottom line, do some prudent shopping on the AH and don't be afraid to farm for awhile, and you'll be able to make headway in Inferno. Good luck!

You can verify this by looking at Archon beam damage. I myself have +250% crit damage and my Archon beam damage does about 80k on low end ticks. Instead of seeing 70-90k ticks and 270k-300k ticks, I see the full range of 70k 80k 90k 100k 110k etc depending on how many crits versus normal hits are happening per tick display.

Yeah, I think that's how it works too, but archon seems to give a crit proc (so it triggers critical mass) while venom hydra doesn't. I think non channeled spells don't give you a crit "proc" so that means dots on hydras/meteor/etc. vs. beams. Although twister seems to proc it as well and that's not really channeled.

Maybe I should go all out with the dps on some gloves and bracers and compensate for the loss with really good, low dps and high vit/ar chests and pants? I've been trying pretty hard to sell my ring and my weapon to a barb and then buy a better wizard piece but it's not really happening :\ edit: you may have to right click > open in new tab to see the complete top image ![]() ![]()

Didnt test the other but im pretty sure the "beam" in Archon procs critcal mass ... i can see it quite easly with when my first skill is nearly instantly off cooldown again :D

Just cleared Act 1 Inferno, I upgraded some of my gear from 16k/18k -> 15k/23k and with some dodging skills only died several times (which was a lot less than expected. Butcher also went down much quicker than I thought). Yes, I am searching for stuff on the Auction House constantly but I can't find any good gear for a good price atm that won't drastically decrease my damage but improve my survivability. Thanks for the help anyway although I think my build is sufficient enough.

I have a normal AO build with 85k dps, but my melee build with 50k just destroys everything 4 times faster. Can kill all packs absolutely, all bosses, pony level etc. So not sure why bother with normal wiz atm. Here's azmodan + random elite preview: http://www.own3d.tv/drake22x/watch/700036

![]() Those are my stats in my archon build (not in archon form). I basicly feel kind of torn on what stats to upgrade next, and considering whatever it is will cost me all I got I want to do the best choice.

So u managed to get 134k dps and now suddenly u are clueless of what to do next? Feels like u're just showing off. And if u are seriously asking this then just use a spreadsheet.
