I think Gundam deserves some credit. He didn't get aggressive and force the rape on the kid. Sure, his attempt was crazy and scary and wrecked the kids life, but just imagine how much worse it would have been had the kid actually been raped. Gundam probably has a real problem with his head, but he somehow was able to overcome it enough to not go through with the whole thing. The kid walked away with nothing physically done to him, he is obviously a good player and should continue his career after some help from a psychiatrist.
Having said all this, Gundams actions were very very wrong, but he didn't go way overboard. Some people are born with unfortunately bad minds, it sucks that this kind of thing had to happen.

Point taken. Let's give him some credit, he only tried to unzip a 15 year old's pants and grab his crotch. The kid physically wasn't hurt, let's send him to a shrink and all will be sunshine and buttercups.
Un fucking believable.

Wow at first i was like why would he stand through this then it was like im only 15... I was like oh he doesn't know how to handle it poor kid.

After reading all 20+ pages of this forum it made me think that maybe the kid didn't elaborate entirely on what happened. Sure he did say enough for us to assume that Gundam really did molest him but I don't think anyone outside of the WeRRa clan could really know what happened, (except of course family, friends etc.). My heart defiantly goes out to the kid being strong enough to say what he did, but who knows if thats all that the perv really did to him.
Anyways i hope all goes well for the rest of the WeRRa clan, defiantly a bummer that one pedo gets to destroy an amazing clan (even if he was the manager)

@Phayze It saddens me that this had to happen, and I am afraid this is going to cast a negative light on gays, when the real problem is the fact that this guy molested a minor. knowing my fellow koreans, though, an unfair negative light on gays is probably going to be inevitable and this incident is just going to fuel the confirmation bias in some people. as for an heroes, though... i'm not so sure, but yeah. google "an hero" , I believe gundam will go to extremes and kill himself. I dont think he will get over his actions. An hero is just a term used to describe someone who commits suicide over the internet. I dont actually think hes a hero by ANY means. He'd be a villian if anything. How can you believe that he will kill himself? Do you know him personally? Have you spoken to him at length? Have you been in his position before? Have you ever known someone that has been in his position? If not, then be quiet and don't jump to suicide. Suicide is a very personal action, that is different for each person, I can't speak to the culture of Korea but something like this is seriously upsetting in America, something that will ruin a career and a person's life. However, as you'll figure out eventually once you gain some age, just because you get put in a tough spot sometimes you have to push through, not just give up and check out. Suicide is the ultimate giving up, the ultimate surrendering and is something that should not be taken so lightly in the fact that you are just saying he's going to kill himself. Homosexuality is also looked down upon heavily in korean culture, molesting a minor will imprint a record on him for the rest of his life, making it hard for him to get jobs (It's nearly impossible to get a decent job in Korea if you have a criminal record, the Betting scandal should have told you that),He will not be able to make a future for himself. With the addition of him not being straight and it being a male minor, his family will get much slander. Yes, Suicide is very personal in North america, but our culture is NOT based around honor. In many koreans eyes killing yourself is the best way to regain your lost honor. for example If you google male celebrity suicides in korea many of the stories that will pop up will be based on sexual orientation. Its terrible to say, but theres a good chance these are the steps Gundam will take. Killerbot, I cannot believe you told me to grow up? When ironically you're the one who is being naive. Korea isn't fucking Japan. Why are people (who are not from Korea and I doubt know anything about the culture) being so stubborn about this? From what I've read from the previous quoted post as well as another SOUTH KOREAN post, this is in fact the way the Korean culture looks at this kinda of thing. I personally cannot attest to this as I know next to nothing about Korea, but it seems these guys do so I would hear them out. However, it would be nice to get some clarification from someone who is from Korea because this is an important point. Anyways, to be more on topic, as horrible as this is it is great that LoveRipWeRRa came out with this because chances are he was not the first one, so this will open the doors for more WeRRa (or non WeRRa members possibly) to come forward as well. Incredible bravery and courage by LoveRipWeRRa and I really wish him and anyone else involved the best of luck. Hopefully Gundam gets what he deserves (prison time) and turns over a new leaf in the future. Woop, good thing I'm Korean. Seriously, I'm getting tired of Japanese cultural stereotypes being applied to other Asian cultures. Or rather, people viewing China/Korea/Japan etc. as, "pretty much the same thing." Ya, when you get publicly ousted for molesting a child (and in Korea for being a potential homosexual/bisexual), it's gonna get ugly for you, but it's not because of some bullshit archaic BUSHIDO type code of honour or something. If I fuck up big time I'm not going to off myself because I "dishonoured" my family or something. I'd be offing myself because all my dignity was stripped away, and I'd have no prospect of a future after something scandalous is on my 'public' record (that's assuming if I was from a conservative Korean background). I may be nitpicking on semantics, but there is a distinct difference in the way which the words honour and more appropriate words like dignity connote to whatever you're writing. Back on topic: It's a shame WeRRa disbanded because of this. They really had a talented group of players and I really hope their core players are able to bring something back. I feel real sorry for the kid, shit like that is just so wrong, no matter how "minor" those trolls try to convince you it was. HURF DURF IT WAS ONLY A ZIPPER.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_in_South_Korea
"The high rate of suicide in Japan may be linked to this societal structure, as well as in South Korea, where there is a similar shame society"
"South Korea recently surpassed Japan in having the highest suicide rate among the 30 OECD countries"

Anyways i hope all goes well for the rest of the WeRRa clan, defiantly a bummer that one pedo gets to destroy an amazing clan (even if he was the manager) kid was 15, that hardly makes gundam a pedo. technically that's within the realm of ephebophilia and I'm not even sure how old gundam is. probably 20 or something?
what he did was terrible. if he was interested in the kid he should have been upfront and honest about it. i kinda feel bad for gundam that he is too ashamed of his sexuality to just be real about it and has to resort to touching guys in their sleep, that crosses way way over the line.
i really hope the kid gets over it and has a good career in sc2 and that gundam comes to terms with his sexuality and expresses it in a healthier way. it's pretty brave of him to come out about it, a lot of victims of homosexual abuse never talk about it

It's a very unsettling story if true, but please remember that the crimes are alleged and these are real people. We can all agree pedophilia is bad, but out of respect for the accused (who should get his day in court) and the alleged victim, do we really need to discuss this to death online?
Outside of a news purpose, this thread doesn't have a place here IMO. Let the police deal with this...

it's not pedophilia if the kid's 15.

This is true. Pedophilia is being attracted to pre-pubescent children. Hence the term "jail bait" for girls that are very attractive but still under the legal age of consent.
Pedophilia is way worse. These are the sickos that are attracted to 8 year olds and stuff. That's a whole different ballgame.
That doesn't make this any less terrible though. Molesting a minor is still a really serious offense.

Are you fucking kidding me dude? Just because he didnt get raped doesnt mean that this dudes actions wont haunt him for the rest of his life, you really need to think before you post garbage like that man. Saying Gundam should get some credit is ludicrous.

In reply to the recent "It's not paedophilia".
That's correct. What we're dealing with is somebody in a position of power who sexually assaulted a younger boy.
"According to part of the Protection of Minors from Sexual Exploitation Law [50], it is a criminal offense to coerce a minor under the age of 19 to a sexual act. Culturally it is not accepted to have sexual act with a minor under the age of 19 even with the consent of the minor at the age of 13 or above, as evidenced by surprise and uproar when a man was acquitted of sexual relationship with a 16-year old teenage runaway in 2001. [51]"
He's both both legally and socially in a shit-load of trouble. It's not paedophilia, but it is basically rape. Socially, it might as well be paedophilia.
At the same time though, don't look at it like he sexually abused a 6-year old. I think we all remember when we were 15 and the hijinx we got up to.
EDIT: It's still a terribly sad turn of events for LoveRip and WeRRa. It's really too bad Gundam resorted to this, don't they have craigslist in Korea?

i absolutely agree with you
the problem is that he molested and exploited a member on his team not that he was 15.
also in response to your craigslist comment he was probably way too ashamed of his sexuality to do something like that, I really doubt he's bisexual. he wouldn't even answer when the kid straight up asked him if he was gay. repressing yourself sexually like that can lead to some extreme things imo
hopefully this experience teaches gundam the dangers of lying to yourself

Is this even confirmed or just the accusations of a 15 year old?

WeRRa wouldn't disband because of an unconfirmed rumour.

What. The. Hell. This is so fucking random and out of nowhere.
Truly disappointing.

this is sick, disgusting, and I hope the kid goes to the authorities and I hope Koreans have laws against this crap.

Do you seriously think there's any chance he just made this up?
I know teenagers are attention whores, but he dropped out of high school for this. That's fucking huge even in the States, but in Korea, that basically means your options (besides progaming) are "go to jail" or "kill yourself."
I say this to you as a Korean male who grew up told, every single time we passed by a homeless man, or a worker at a fast food restaurant, or any black or hispanic man who wasn't wearing a suit, "You're going to end up like that man, and probably die alone and poor, if you don't get straight A's and get in to a good college."
I am not using the phrase "every single time" here as a hyperbole.

Thats really too bad, I hope that another team picks him up.
