He denied it in the translated script of the allegations,
(Off topic) Smart post dump, you captured the Japanese situation well. But really in universities if you are honest about your sexuality here and present yourself respectfully and not too 'differently' you wont be turned away by almost anybody, which I could say is true for most of the industrialised world.
The ancient rome like thing is called Satsuma culture (basically) if anyone wants to look that up.
But what I was suprised to find is that Japanese guys in general are more fashionable, sensitive, have female friends, behave well, are studious and thusly come across as "gayer" than people back home. But in the gay bars there was a much higher proportion of what I would call normal gay men i.e. no makeup, no female clothes, no hand swinging, no outrageous laughing, no madonna, no lady gaga. Even the music in the clubs here in Osaka is freakin great, no more britney techo remixes :D Unless they are awesome, which can happen (said it!), heard a great fat bass remix of toxic, very cool, took all my friends from uni and had a great night.
Broke back mountain was a bad example of gay hate killings, but I didn't know any names of famous incidents at the time, but theres plenty.

I hope that LoveRip can find a suitable SC2 environment and continue to perform at the pro-level in SC2. I feel so terrible for him, the story is appalling sad.

yeah, i have a friend who's gay and he fits in just fine. you can tell he's gay from the way he speaks, but there's nothing particularly annoying about him or his boyfriend. i think the whole excessive flamboyance thing is half stereotype and half knee-jerk reaction.
as for japanese guys, i tried the whole japanese metro look for a while (half-assedly) -- but being 5'2" and living in a city of mostly tall koreans and caucasians, it only ever attracted really weird chicks...
either way, i doubt gundam's gay. even if it did turn out that he did everything loverip claims he did -- which i'm beginning to doubt -- it would likely have been for the sake of humiliation rather than sexual exploitation, a.k.a. bullying.

I'm glad some of the Werra players found a new clan together.

Mod Edit: placed post in spoiler due to gsl spoilers...
+ Show Spoiler +karma for being such a tool. go find a clan yourself, otherwise you'll continue to lose horribly like today. "yeah I'm confident I can make it to the finals, I'll probably have a tough time with Fruitdealer there" good job making yourself look like a total fool.

Holy crap, can't help but feel bad for LoveRip... To be honest, this seems surreal... Wonder how things'll turn out for him.
|
Im so sorry that this had to happen. The feeling I get when I read that poor kids post is gutwrenching. I hope for the best for him, and all the WeRRa members who werent involved.
|
Hey, what if the kid and the coach got in an argument, for whatever reason, and the kid threatens / decides to ruin him?
I'm just saying, don't be so quick to judge... these accusations are often very hard to prove, and are strong because they play on human emotion...
It really did destroy the guy though, true or otherwise...

I really really feel sad after reading this news. WeRRa was one of the best teams and *poof* just like that it ended in a second. Its an sad day for whole gaming community. Its too bad for that Kid and WeRRa players who were innocent specially cellaWeRRa who wrote the reply with 'teary eyes'.

Looks like Cella found a home after all-- just thought it was nice that such a grim time in Cella's life ("wandering without a home, no idea what to do") has ended with him as Coaching Champion of GSTL and now head coach of the Korean GSL World Champs!
Congratulations to Cella! Nice to see some stories do have happy endings.

Sorry if this offends someone, but i think that a lot of the players are bi or gay - they just look like it, and when you live in a house with only other boys - it's like in the army or in jail, funny things happen I don't think that being a gay is something new in Korean pro-gaming teams ( correct me if i'm wrong and you have different inside info ), in many team houses girls are not allowed and this boys are in very funny age - right when one explores his/her sexuality - so .... + Just watch carefully when they interact between them and you'll see what i'm talking about.

That is actually really wrong. In korea you have interactions between men who are straight that would be called gay from some western perspective, but are normal there. Of course there may be some homosexuals there, I don't know, but you do not see that from their behavior in front of camera. An example could be the Jaedong - Lomo story, You would probably think their gay.
Additionally this topic is not about being gay or not, but about authority abuse and sexual harassment.

one out of 10 is gay for guys at least- this was either the funniest/ or saddest thing i've read on TL
