Should be interesting. Not sure if I like the changes this time around.....and whats with the depot before rax? Does blizzard actually play this game? lol I think they can leave terran the ability to rush reapers with all the other buffs and nerfs >.>

Sigh Blizz...Its marauders and mules. In the recent games since the patch, reapers are not entirely OP and seem somewhat balanced. I dont know, I just hope they dont nerf the reaper into oblivion.

Work on Marauders...I mean COME on!

And how about Hydras?

I suppose this is but a small step but it could have been better.

Good for zerg, bad for me. As a protoss i'm 50/50 agaisnt protoss, 60/40 against terran, but around 40/60 against zerg, mostly because it's hard for me as a gold player to stop 14 pool, 15 hatch.

The depot before rax change for the sake of stopping early reapers is just idiotic. I mean, the factory requirement is OK but the depot first is beyond me. I seriously hope that's a joke.

Proxy void ray can be completely retarded when they hide it until they have 3 and you are unable to scout him properly, or scout him incorrectly.

Not unbeatable, just stupid because if you dont prepare specifically for it, you die really hard. There are prob some terran equivalents of this of course.

I think you are overreacting jinro, Zerg players need some way to deal with harass and its not like hellion builds are useless. Hellions still out range roaches just not as badly anymore.

Hellion builds will be ineffective because apparently roaches were meant to counter them, and not just be kited by them. Of course, since the roach range boost is probably only going to be +1 (3 -> 4), the hellions will still out-range roaches by 1 I believe (2 for partial).


Ahh, this makes sense.

Still though, Hellion builds (unless you're TLO) never revolved around killing roachs with hellions. They're about abusing mobility to inflict eco damage. Unless Blizz does something dumb like give roaches hydra range, I think this will still be completely viable.


They aren't giving roaches a speed boost. They'll still be slow as hell for the early hellion drone BBQ. Have you tried chasing down hellions with roaches + queen? Benny Hill anyone? (don't gimme that 'L2P noob,' even FruitDealer can't kill them easily)

When has T ever struggled with stopping 6 pool? Finish your wall, pull 3 scvs to repair, and type "lol" repeatedly when your first marine pops out.

The fungal change makes sense to me, the barracks and reaper speed from fact... does not. Speaking as a zerg player, I don't imagine I am every going to see reapers again from any T ever if these notes happen. Which is fine with me, but kindof a silly change I think. Roaches NEED at least 1 or 2 more range though, and fungal should have always stopped blink (since it stops burrow also).

I wish people would stop with the 'X got nerfed, now it will never be used again' hyperbole. This goes for Terran units, Zerg units, Protoss units, whatever.

That said, reapers have always had an iffy design. They're a lot like void rays in that they feel gimmicky, running hot or cold. If these nerfs help bring more of their inherent structural weakness to the fore, maybe we can hope for a slight redesign that will help them be more useful in the mid-late game while not being an overwhelmingly frustrating cheese element in early game.

I really wonder about the reaper speed requiring a factory. I mean I think most people agree that reaper become rather useless after the early game so I think well there won´t be many reapers at all.

Also roach range sounds soo awesome. I think that would be enough to help z vs reapers after their build time nerf.

the roach range incrase is going to be awesome but reapers is not a problem blizz.. now every terran is going to open hellion and probaly with blue flame ... goodbye drones..

I like the buff for the Zerg

But they are really focusing on Reapers more than any unit in the game lately. I think the late time build is good enough. I think they should focus on another Terran unit rather than Reapers. IMO I think Medivacs need a little nerf. Nothing to big though. Maybe make them a bit slower or something. Those drops...*sigh
