On the topic, I really like the idea where players place a core with the standard wall to leave a small pathway to go through. So basically you get wall of Gatewy+Forge+Core+Nexus and dragoon sized pathway to get through. It helped heaps personally, and surprisingly on python with that huge natural opening it becomes quite zergling rush proof.

You don't even give a fucking type of situation that the 'all-in' occurs.

3 main varieties
1gate vs zerg all-in
2gate vs zerg all-in
Fe vs zerg all-in

All three situations are competely different.

Surprise! a one liner op gets a lot of less than 5 line responses

I think we need an example of a good op in the strategy forum guidelines, so that people can figure out what is blatantly a shitty thread and which ones are worth responding to when making their op. Or you can have a big flashing sign under the create new thread button that reads: "Don't Make a Shitty Op pl0x!"

well, I'm a toss user and sometime, I can't scout with probes when he gets 6 ling with fast speed. From there, I can't guess for 3 hatch mass ling cause against like 30-40 zerlings, it takes a lot of cannons and good probes micro and I usually don't have enough units to back up.
I like to do it all night long

Okay, so I have a situation that I can't seem to deal with.

Fe toss

vs

3 hatch muta

Honestly, even if I manage to get up cannons/archons or cannons/sairs or whatever (which for some reason feels like it takes too long), I still have waaay too much trouble getting any kind of ground army going in time to stop him from taking the whole map.

Should I just stop FEing? I really feel like I'm so bad at it that I give up all map control.

Course, I have no idea how to transition a 2 gate opening into standard pvz (whatever that is...)

Really the only like all in zerg can do in zvp is like 5 pool. Else you should notice zerg building up units to storm your base.

Pretty vague OP. Dealing with zerg all-ins is tough at pretty much all levels of sc. You have to do your best to scout and use whatever information you can get to play accordingly. Sometimes it can be hard because you feel you must add a few extra cannons at your nat to be safe in case of some early hydra break but at the same time if they aren't doing it you'll be behind but sometimes that's part of the game and you have to decide if you want to gamble and not make them or make them and possibly be a bit behind.

It shouldn't be that hard. If your going for the standard FE into stargate/citadel BO your sair should scout his tech when his spire is almost done and you should continue sair production and add 2 cannons at each mineral line (more if you see he continues to mass mutas/scourge.) The constant sair pump till you have 5-7 along with the cannons should be plenty to protect you while you add on gates and go zeal/goon/storm/obs and prepare to take your 3rd and pressure his 3rd/try and deny his 4th.

I wonder if your beginning BO isn't correct and your sair is slow in scouting him perhaps?

in fact, just get like 5 cannons at expo and 2-3 in your main, just to be safe.

Thanks. It really is a bo problem I'm sure. I still mess up probe transfer in timing and I think amount, and I seem to not have enough money to do everything that I feel like I should be doing, but at least I don't mess up probe pumping lol. idk, it feels like if i'm pumping probes, adding pylons, and pumping sairs that I mess up my timing on the whole citadel, +1atk, templar archives, adding gates, leg speed, adding cannons. If I know he's going mutas (like, a lot), when should I add cannons in there, how soon should my gates be up, and how the hell do I have enough mins for gates+cannons while having enough gas for sair pump + tech + archons. lol

Time to go practice a bit and watch some reps. I should be able to get this straight soon lol.

Oh and btw, it doesn't help that I'm only like 80-90 apm xD
I've been doing okay in general, but most of my exp is in PvT and PvP, so I'm basically learning PvZ for the first time.

why isnt it all-in? of course it depends on the amount of drones and hatches the z has before he attacks. For instance the 2 hatch hydra from july vs bisu on blue storm was pretty much all-in and that storm youre talking about wont help that early.
More hatches than that isnt all-in like you say but why should we even discuss that here?

I think you could gain a lot of knowledge about how to counter these all-ins if you consider them from the point of view of the Zerg player. Read a ZvP guide or two that includes all-in strategies, and do what those guides hope you don't do.
