bnet makes it worse if the actual network ping lag isn't a factor. in this case, there's nothing that you could do to make the game less laggy.
actually, one exception. you can have less players in game, so the packets don't need to travel to as many people, travel as far. that's what they did in the tsl to try to prevent lag, is having less players in each game
