It's obvious that TeamLiquid is the strongest foreign Starcraft community, with exceptional coverage of the Korean scene and a very high quality of writing and support with projects such as the TLPD and support for foreign streams, etc. TeamLiquid is home to the strongest foreign players, of the past, present, and future, with old stars like Nazgul, Rekrul and Eriador (and uhjoo!!) joined by rising stars Nony, IdrA, etc. And to some extent, it's easy to become complacent. With such a high level of skill, what more can there be to aim for? With the best foreign players of all time? With the recent obliterations of GG.net and SC2GG?

Oh right. Koreans.

YGosu, the former website home of yG clan, one of the top Korean clans. Birthplace of such stars as Xellos and Canata, yG is a top feeder clan into the proteams with very strong amateurs and semipros representing some of the best Korean players. YGosu has evolved to be one of the largest Korean forums on Starcraft, providing streams of games, an excellent replay database, and, most importantly, one of the most skilled communities online.

So it truly is a battle of giants.

On the one hand, we have the indisputable leader in foreign Starcraft coverage, with unparalleled coverage, thoroughness, and skill represented from 2002 to the present day. On the other, we have an active and skilled Korean community, showing off some of the best of the Korean scene. Will top foreigners be able to even take a game against top Korean amateurs and semi-pros represented by the YG line-up?

The YG coach doesn't think so.

Vote of (un)confidence aside, I think we can all expect good games from today's showmatch. With JF's impeccable timing and control, oldschool Hunters play from greats Nazgul and Insane, top foreigners Machine, Cloud, Infernal, Artosis, and a deadly Insane/Testie/2pacalypse combo on 3v3, it's entirely possible that we take one, two, or even more games from today's set. Regardless, all games promise to display an extreme level of skill, with exciting, dynamic games in all matches today.

IMO most of the games are easy to predict except for Cloud's match. If he practices for this and plays well I definitely think he's capable of winning his game. I also think Artosis has a chance but not a very big one.

The one coming up in two and a half hours is a live Korean cast. The one on Sunday is an English recast of it.

There will be live reports in this thread coming from me and ghostclaw (and other people, probably), so you can keep up with some degree of English coverage while you wait for the actual English cast on Sunday.

I really want to figure out how to do streaming stuff, because I would do restream things if i could. They should use something vlc compatible, they usually do.

If you can't watch streams, reformat. that's what I do xD
