Don't really have a preference on what side as long as I don't piss in the water.

This is assuming I'm not home alone or something, then I don't give a shit. I just don't like people hearing what I'm up to, for some reason. XD At least I'm not as bad as a friend of mine, he always turns on the water in the sink as soon as he walk into a bathroom. :D

When at home I usually just pee in the sink and then I'm already where I need to be to wash my hands! Win-win.

A drain is a drain. Plus peeing in the sink (or while in the shower) saves plenty of water from not having to flush so often. It adds up for me since I drink about 2 gallons of milk/juice/water every day. If I pee on average four times each day at 3.5 gallons water used per flush, that 14 gallons of water every day, over 400 gallons a month that doesn't show up on my water bill! (a monthly savings of roughly between $2 and $3!)

When not at home I tend to use the toilet as I don't have to pay for the usage of that water and I'm not sure how generally accepted peeing in the sink would be; and then I do whatever it takes to make a ton of bubbles with my urine in the toilet bowl (usually loudly in the center of the bowl).
