Back when we went 7 days post release and raced for top 30-40 wewould be done in 3 odd weeks and then turn into raid loggers, but then you played ALOT those 3-4 weeks and essentially stopped doing everything else. But then you had stuff like Mu'ru that was just so brutal. + Show Spoiler [personal experience] + I think the schedule my legion guild was on (and i still have alts sitting there) is pretty healthy 3 nights world 160 something this tier and they generally float around the 100-200 range. They are all great people 0 toxicity. A fair amount, but not unlimited of patience for mistakes. No alt requirements, + Show Spoiler + (although there are some more active players that do maintian alts that can be useful) Yeah, I can understand how 4 nights is a lot for most, but for top100 world, it's on the low side. If you want Hall of Fame in France, you're either with us or raiding 6/7 nights, it's harsh. You can get good guilds that do 3 nights in top200/500 quite often too. Less than 3 nights starts to be kinda iffy to progress Mythic tho.

That's mostly due to player skill too of course, not just the 3x3 schedule. G'huun looks quite hard, I was hoping for about a month break between this tier and next, because it does wear you down after a while the constant raiding, so hopefully we can make some good progress on him and the leaders are happy to kill him once and call it quits for the tier, but I'm afraid that won't happen ![]()

Should finished in the ~600-650 range with how we are progessing. Its possible, but entirely based on how people adapt and fix mistakes. Less time means need to fix things faster.

Sure Blizzcon maybe helped tip the jar a bit but this was going to come down anyway. Since fortnight came out even your avg joe home trader has been shorting activision for months. Its been trending way too well for a few years now.

They're trying to get players in and get them engaged by giving free copies of the base game to everyone so that they can go ahead and buy the $40 expansion plus microtransactions and then spread the desire to play further through word of mouth and a healthy playerbase. Overwatch isn't seeing much further growth any more but is in the best shape of any of the other games Diablo fiasco, but immortal $$ on the way. Non-chinese reaction was bad enough to spook investors. COD is in decline WoW has stagnated, in slow decline since Cataclysm. Legion mitigated the decline but BFA failed to keep that up and subs are probably a third to half of what they were this time in WOTLK. Starcraft is doing okay, some activity and a reasonably healthy esports scene for a game of its age but it's not a big revenue driver and is going to remain in its slow decline until Starcraft 3 or some other major change which has not been announced. Faith in Activision to make an engaging game that people want to buy into is quite low compared to previous levels at the moment for most of their game franchises which impacts their perceived value as a company. --- They don't have much to drive sustainable growth right now; wiping out a year and a half of growth in a few weeks is a big deal.

A trend of "people are losing interest in our games more than previously" is a good thing for Blizzard to see. It is clear why that is the case and I think if they were to fix their recent nonsense, it would improve.

I've been writing Sylvanas personally since 2006, and this is pretty much - the Wrathgate and the Blight and the Forsaken - in character. Those were all under Sylvanas' orders. oops
