On another note I hit exalted 7th legion this morning and unlocked the Dark Irons, man they look metal. The questchain was loooong though.
Hope you are all having a great time! I'm loving the expansion so far. It's such horseshit that they've locked four races behind Legion content. I've been grinding Legion content since BfA release because I want the Void Elves and Nightfallen. The very least they should have done was make Nightfallen/Army of the Light/Argussian Reach insignias a more common reward from mission board quests given how many of the 'rewards' from the are now meaningless (wakening essence, for example). They did make the reps a lot easier to get before BFA release, they added some weekly reps of like +1.5k and made argussian reach / army quests grant rep for both factions instead of just one Not sure how long Nightfallen takes (been exalted forever) but they changed some things like removing rep gates on the quests for that too I don't like the cross faction requirements, i have Nightfallen exalted but if i wanted to reroll a nightfallen i'd have to do this weird song and dance of faction changing one character to go unlock them and then race changing again or making the character from level 1 afterwards. When they made the Nightfallen faction it wasn't obvious that it would be an allied race, let alone one that was horde exclusive for unlocking. Wakening essences can buy legendaries that operate from 101 through 116, they're not useless
You need 1000 wakening essence to use it for anything; a fresh rolled 110 would have to farm it for ages to get even one item. Might as well just go to 120 and get better greens.
I thought that you just needed to get exalted with nightfallen to unlock them and it didn't matter which character? If that's the case that's even more horseshit because my main was alliance last expansion and she's the one who's almost completed Suramar and the only one exalted with the nightfallen (and nobody else is even remotely close).
And I don't count quests that give +75 rep to be 'making it easier'. I've completed the argus campaign and I'm on frickin HONORED with both factions. Even if I cleared every available quest every day going forward I'd still need to farm for weeks. And I'm not doing that because it's stupid. I just do the quests that give the actual insignias. Slower but it won't make me quit WoW at least.

Haven't tested it or researched it thoroughly, but I think if you get exalted with nightfallen on an alliance toon and then raise a horde toon to 110 you are able to do the questline with the horde toon to unlock the allied race nightfallen?

Can confirm that I got my Legion reps on Horde, then leveled a DH on alliance side and unlocked both Lightforged and Void Elves.

That's good, some issue still comes up since you need to make a new throwaway char at 110 that is not that allied race in order to unlock them

Correct I had 0 of anything on the Alliance side and no problems unlocking allied races with a fresh 110.
The only (potential) downside is that I had to use my BFA boost on to get a 110 on alliance in the first place.
Edit: Anyone else have shit luck with weapon drops ? 19 mythics and like 30-40 heroics later adjusting lootspec for both brew and WW on specific bosses for weapon drops Im still sitting with a 325 and 310 MH OH and a 290 2 hander.
Not gonna lie I am getting a bit annoyed now.

I bought two weapons and then replaced them both with 340's from world quests, never got one from mythic and i can't recall any from heroics either

I am still using a 310 sword from a normal dungeon run ages ago and a 300 I bought cheap around the same time.
They are the only things I have equiped that are sub 325.
I have only run 1 mythic though. A bunch of heroics trying to get one (even specifically queing for like ToS and the prison dungeon).

I got all the weapon luck. I did 9 mythics in the first week and by my 5th mythic on the 2nd week, I had 2x WW weapons, a main hand and off-hand for MW, and a BM polearm. I also had that Teebu's BoE drop for me which I sold.

I was able to figure this out. My unit frames were taking it over (shadowed unit frames). I happened to need Tol Dagor today so I just got to test it and I could see it.

I’ve also had shit luck on that. Around 25 heroics, 5 mythics, with zero weapon drops. I’m still using 310 and 325 from dungeons and wq.

Regular WQs dropped me 325 because that was my baseline at the time. NA hasn’t had an emissary weapon as of yesterday.

I think they have a handful of times, it just depends on your faction and the weapon type. A lot of the time it'll give like a 1h to a DH but 700 gold to a druid for example

Only had 1 epic weapon from emissary, was for BrM while I only play MW and WW.

I was gearing my hunter a bit pre-BFA, playing MM, she got five polearms from darkshore in a row. No ranged weapons :D

Would be nice for profession stuff to stack more, my reagent bank is already full of 200 stacks of BFA stuff that auctions for 30 silver each but that i don't really want to vendor. We keep getting bigger stacks but they make each material drop so often that you have 3000 bones before you know what happened

Any other geared DPS beat on the training dummy for a while? I just did for 9 mins and finished at 8.8k dps. I made a few mistakes. But I'm not totally sure what set up is best anyway, so it's possible I was doing it wrong anyway. The WW community has a lot of theorycrafting to do I think.

Dummy has some bugs which makes it not representative of patchwerk and i'm not about to pop BFA flasks & pots, battle shout etc to test DPS iterations; i will get some practice when the raid is out. My sim is something like 12.5k on 5 min patchwerk with all that stuff and doesn't change very much with fight length aside from the heroism buff being a strong influence, so shorter is generally higher.

i do about 8.5-9.5k over 7 mins as WW . but im also not 100% comfortable, i run into resource starvation issues once in a while if i mismanage the prio even once. If i had nicer weapons i could probably sustain 10 easily. Ofc its rarely a problem in dungeons or instances of movement because you end up capping energy alot of the time if you are respecting mechanics.
Its wierd and doesnt make alot of sense. Like Verse sims highest for me right now by alot.
