Might not start til 7pm server but going for a long time if it's at all possible. Ending the week at 8/9 would feel bad

After sleeping on it, the DH changes may be okay. Not amazing but not that terrible either, will have to see what happens and how well some questionable talents play in the actual raid.

I may have had to commit sodoku if it was a +4% to all damage change leaving the only viable spec as shit to play and lower-middle of the pack but this buff is biased towards more fun styles at least, two of them having a combined representation of 1.4% on Heroic Avatar pre-buff.

To be fair, that's what makes bosses difficult now, abilities overlaps.
You can often see what a boss does in the first minute, the rest is figuring out how to deal with overlaps.

Brewmaster is pretty strong right now but this is the worst iteration of the spec since its been in the game.

It literally plays like ass and I don't understand it since the lead developer specializes in this damn spec.

I mean, it really shouldn't come as a surprise that he did not know how the spec plays since he had to make a multi paragraph document to tell Mythic BrM in beta how to play BrM. Like step by step guide to play BrM, and then got proven wrong on basically all accounts because BrM got buffs basically every patch until this last one.

Just because he specializes in it doesn't mean he knows what hes doing. We had like a 20+ page thread about how their first proposed stagger cap of 100% hp was inexplicably terrible, when they quoted people rarely saw 100% stagger. Again this was proven wrong very quickly.

The biggest complaint I currently see is ISB capped at 3x. This was a wide stroke change to all tanks AM being capped, but the problem which was stated to all of the developers is that BrM need this flexibility to pool ISB up so we can purify, since our AM is a 2 step function rather than every other tanks 1 button.

I hope we can find a better middle ground, but currently you just play to keep ISB up and purify if possible. There is little planning while actively tanking because you don't have the luxury of taking extra ISB duration so you can purify more to keep damage tolerable. You just ISB and purify with any extra and that is that =/.

That was my point, brewmaster issues are pretty obvious to anybody who plays the spec. That you can be so oblivious to the problems says a lot about celestalon.

ISB cap is fine. no cap was a massive issue since you could purge constantly after building up a long duration.

Yes it is more annoying to have to pay attention to the duration, big woop.
And you can still very much stack up purifies if you want to by keeping charges in reserve + BoB
(tho this might change if you lose the extra generation from leggo bracers + t19)

People dont like change and simply need time to adapt to the new capped duration.

(and yes capping stagger at 100% was hilariously stupid. Tho 300% probably could have worked if you wanted it. the 1000% it is now might aswell not exist.

Got Avatar finally w/ a great dmg log and 93% execution. P2 was always meh at best but we just phased him down at 19% (he auto phases @20%) so it didn't matter

Did they buff the broken shore rares? Last few days i've been soloing them asleep but just now i'm barely able to stay alive. Maybe stealth buff to world scaling?

In an upcoming patch, we will be moving World Bosses to a set spawn rotation from the current random spawn rotation, which should help avoid this issue in the future.


It was just random? We've seen some weirdness, some bosses have spawned maybe 8 or 9 times while others have only spawned once ever. Nithogg should be on the regular rotation and he hasn't been up for half a year

Funny note, they said that they increased the effectiveness of DH mastery by 7% but it's actually increased by 7.55% because the did the percentage math backwards:

285/265 = 1.0755
265/285 = 0.93 - there's the 7%

Convergence of Fates once again correctly reduces the cooldown of Metamorphosis for Havoc Demon Hunter.


so while I was still running DoG+CoF pre-cloak, I was having trouble getting my meta to line up Nemesis+Chaos Blades, had to double check the patch notes if Delusions was changed in any way

with the shoulders as the next one I'm going to upgrade, mostly due to lack of better options, it might be worth playing around with the cooldown reduction build in certain dungeons

also thanks for linking that hyjra post, it kept popping my autobubble on a bloody +10

COF is still pretty terrible even if you want meta cd, too much of a stat loss for too little effect. It's hard to find the niches in fight length where it gives extra cooldown usages and even then it usually just breaks even because of that; AMR gets a lot of criticism for overvaluing it when it falls short by other sim methods and real testing.

I upgraded Sephuz first, AOTHG second and probably Raddons third in the morning; after that i'm not sure

Will be trying 111 and 331 a lot, got some strong sims and scaling going. 331 gaining ~12% more DPS-per-stat than 222 when averaging the top three stats (crit/mastery > haste for 331, crit > haste/vers for 222)

111 is interesting too; it's closer to 222 in playstyle and damage profile (chaos blades etc) but i've heard that you can get meta CD below 2 minutes from the shoulders alone, no relics/COF because the fury gen is higher and more consistent. It might be nice on a few fights.

Got a 12 keystone from weekly chest, did 12+3 arcway so my key turned 15 but also looted a 9 keystone from the chest somehow

it's still here 4 hours later, guess i have 2 keystones now

The world boss prior to 7.2 were on a weekly rotation (All non suramar bosses were supposed to be swapped out in a predetermined rotation, Suramar bosses were extra random bosses that could be up). When they launched 7.2 it got messed up and all world bosses were then just randomly decided with no rotation, leading to current issue of no Nithogg or Na'zak the Fiend (for alchemists).

I think they should have a rotation that guarantees 1 spawn, then rolls for a 2nd world boss every week that isn't what spawned or was spawned previous week. That way you get them all within a 6-7 week period instead of 12-14 week period.
