The great thing I find about ranked is that people communicate way more, and are overall frendlier, and accept their mistakes way more. I had a high ratio of good games (wins and losses) in ranked so far !! | ||

From what little I have played, in solo MM you see 2 man ''teams'' and that's about it...rarely 3 people. | ||

I've only played 2 solo matches and 1 party match ranked though. Lost with Frenzy/Murs (on a smurf) T_T. Frenzy's the good player I queue with, the rest I only queue with when they r with him lol. Although i queue with a variety of other 4-5K mmr players (and some ones that I suspect are lower but I haven't checked ). I don't play much dota recently, too much Path of Exile. But I still follow dota semi-obsessively cuz dota. Im so bad at dota T_T knowing how bad one is is actually such a burden lol. It'd be fine if I didn't know much about dota | ||

Apparently Valve has biot in a system that tries to account for them working together and knowing eachother. | ||

Open console and type "developer 1" then "dota_game_account_debug" then look for the "competitive_rank" entries. Don't forget to "developer 0" before you close though. | ||

Back when performance bars were a thing they were based on your KDA total compared to the KDA total of all your teammates. If the game was a blowout where everyone on your team was getting raped, then it would count like a normal loss with a minor penalty. If the game was a win for your team wherein you were the guy getting focused every fight, you would lose a huge chunk off your bar since it was your low KDA being compared to the nicely padded stats of your teammates. I bet they brought this system back for ranked. Maybe I'll go back to picking windrunner every game, KSing with powershot, waiting out losing games in the fountain with the occasional XP grab, and finishing every game with 0 deaths, see where that takes me. | ||
