Please keep the QQ to a minimum if you do not like this update. We are happy to hear your reasoning for not liking a ranked system, but no "OMG VOLVO WHY" posts. |

i'm losing MMR for winning by playing the offlane/support roles. lost 600 mmr in a split push game against furion and tinker as a CM, and i'm assuming that buying wards/ hard support doesn't count towards invidivual performance nor does playing as the guy who only dies on your team while getting a teamwipe.
The individual thing is just bad. i don't think it's possible to lose 600 mmr in one game. second, i've won like 5 games as a support with 0 kills, 2-5 deaths and ~20-25 assists and my mmr went up just as much as after the games i play carry in and go like 10-1 with a ton of last hits (~25 mmr increase after each win). idk if you were solo queuing tho, i'm talking about solo q mmr.

600 MMR in one game sure. I'd bet you can't even get a 60 MMR change with a single game unless you're in your first ten games.

I guess it's the same thing any ELO system, it does not matter if it's a close 5 sets win in tennis or if you lose to a canon rush. All what matters is if you won or not and the relative MMR from each side.

The "individual performance" might turn into (almost) 0 once you don't have the MMR uncertainty.

So apparently Jerax has a MMR of 5,9K. Is it the highest in the game ?

Firstly and probably most important, if you have a high rating you want to tell people about it, if you have an average rating, meh. Secondly, quite a few people play dota. 1% can easily be hundreds of thousands of people. 6.5 millions monthly players, so 1/100 is 65000 people with rating over 4000. Considering that people in TL are much more likely to be competitive players that's not all that surprising.

Is there anyone that is a really good dota2 support and supported in all ranked so far, whats ur rating? and how do u think it influenced your rating and it what way? I am interested in that because i allways play support and we could maybe find discrepancies or something, Im gonna start ranked soon and is handy to know some stuff maybe.

I completely tanked my placement matches 2-8 (to be fair, I stupidly played during legion first came, and got 5 first time legion players who ruined the games for us) and got 4200 from it.. But I am 100% support basically, and I truly feel if I played hard carry and had better KDA I would be 5000. I think it makes a difference, but when you look at pure stats I also have 30+ assists each game usually and tons of wards / courier every game bought.. But that stuff probably has no influence on the MMR as opposed to kills and GPM.
|
Kills and GPM only influence MMR during smurf detection periods its not a big deal. Support players (such as myself) get the rating they deserve.
|
If anything playing support will probably increase your MMR since good supports are more rare than decent carries/mid in pub game
