Hopefully it will work out, but I'm not sure. I think the problem is the automated report system, Valve should use automation to help them, but they should have a dedicated team of 20 to 30 people who review key words and meta data and decide on a ban and stuff. For example they can have an algorithm that shows cuss words and stuff and cross reference it with reports and when it matches they will review the game and make a decision. I feel like in this type of case the penalties should be big for insults, intentional feeding or overall ruining the game. Cussing should be especially punished with at least 3-4 days being muted, second offense 1 week mute and 3rd offense one week ban from playing games. But again, Valve need to invest in 20-30 workers who will have an automated system for checking metadata and helping them to go through matches and manually hand down established Valve punishments Right now I hate the automated system where noobs and assholes report you for playing great or for farming with a carry hero, I mean that type of ridiculous things. "Omg you only want to farm with Morphling or Void or Anti mage for 20 minutes", its like those types of absurd reports and if enough noobs do it you get muted, especially if you play more than 4 games a day, chances are 25% that you will get muted for terrible reports. | ||

I think people just want control over their data and MMR and not for everything to be public to their friends. Personally, if I have a losing streak, I don't need my MMR telling my friends I had one. It's irrational and you can't reason with it, some people just identify counters with their actual performance and social status. Hard to blame them when everyone's doing it, you can only try and make them see otherwise. | ||
