Definitely Colorado vs Minnesota.

Yeah good point. My bracket was busted Mtl and Min advancing. The 1 losing to a 4 would be the killer. Never really thought of it like that lol.
Still would be interesting to get some numbers from the NHL. Hope they reply to my comment

Colorado hasn't been in the playoffs for ages though and Minnie was far more seasoned, so I wouldn't necessarily say that.

uhhhh
1/2^8 =1/256 < 1/100 = 1%....
so 1% isn't that bad for a 50/50 split between most teams other than boston and anaheim
if we say that boston and anaheim were going to make it to 2nd round (most people would agree) then 1/64 ~ 1.5% so.... 1% is normal.

the University of Waterloo is revoking its scholarship to this year's Descartes Math Contest winner. instead they are going to hand it to the best math whiz in this thread. clearly, with all the advanced stats proponents on here the next Gerald Bull is posting in here.
on a more serious note

John Shannon laying the smack down on Kevin Weekes on Tim&Sid today.

Boston being racist ? Can't be.
This first game reminded me of the first game against Tampa. The Habs didn't play well, but still managed to win in OT. I hope this is a good sign.

The way both TB and Avs were exposed for being the incomplete teams that they are -- despite their ridiculously high standings -- was shocking but I also think the Blues. Sure the last 2 weeks were an omen of incoming Blues failure but did anyone except them to completely collapse like that, especially if you dont really follow the Blues or Miller that much so your mental imagine was Ryan Miller circa 2010 Olympics and the Blues as Prez Cup winners. The last couple weeks of the season when the Blues started their spring choke could be dismissed as 'They are just gearing up mentally for the playoffs where theyll go back to their mid season form" and voila.
What do you guys think, McLelan is going to get fired? Will Doug Wilson panic now that his job is on the line and his team is now the epitome of Choke? Who will hire Barry Trotz, will he finally get an NHL offense or will he be up in Vancouver rebuilding that leaky shithole?

So incredibly disappointing and infuriating to see all of that. Even saw a few facbook 'friends' (well, now I know who's a douche) post some similar crap about fried chicken among other racist comments.

I don't think you can paint the city or organization with the same brush. Boston Bruins drafted Malcolm Subban, they have Jarome Iginla, and Willie O'Ree made his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins.
It's tough because a whole fan base can be crucified for the immature actions of few (vancouver rioting, boston racism, montreal booing american anthm).

i lost it at the jesus christ dive

Well, at least they aren't playing tonight, so there's always that.
Edit: I think Penguins'll take this one, Rangers seem.. sluggish, somehow. Too many unnecessary offsides, etc.
Edit2: The MAF strikes again...

Rangers better on the PK than pitty on the PP

Rangers without Nash but with Dubinsky and Anisimov would have been a better team. What a dumb trade that was.
