Sharks 48 Leafs 23 (should be a real betting option IMO)
Not looking good for me 31-12 in shots for SJ after 2. Leafs are not getting 11 shots while the Sharks get 17. They did have 17 in the second.
That was my whole point, Mani. Buddy up there made up some sensational garbage about how Peverley's heart 'stopped' based on some bullshit extrapolation of what the doctor said whereas I'm saying that what happened is exactly what the doctor said - they 'restored the rhythm'.
There is a pretty big difference between a heart having no rhythm and one that has no activity at all. One of them gives you a survival rate in the low single digits
This thread has made me lash out at speculation presented as fact - i.e. all of Jimmy's posts.
tldr: They used a defibrillator to restore his heart rhythm. Hence his heart hadn't 'stopped'. Unlike what Jimmy sees when jerking off to General Hospital while listening to Leafs Nation Radio, defibrillators are not used to restart a heart. A silly thing to get cranky about but I don't like Jimmy's consistent disregard for fact in favor of bullshit.

When is the draft?
June 27th. I hope we do not win the draft lottery. I want to pick second so whatever small skilled forward we have no use at all for is taken and we can draft Aaron Ekblad
You know that you're supposed to say this when using defibrillator, right? You don't shout it, but you say it so people stand clear and don't get in the way. They made it a clear point to tell us this when I was being trained to use one.
once again at the GM meetings they acknowledge there is not enough space on the ice. its hilarious watching these guys move every line on the ice.. now its the hash marks.
they can slice and dice it up in a million different ways there is only one way to solve the lack of space on the ice. a couple of GMs have already acknowledged it...and the players keep getting bigger.
over the last 15 years they've moved lines, removed lines, added trapezoids, and on and on it goes.

sigh, they already said he had no pulse the problem with an a-fib condition is that your heart beats wildly out of control.. and then stops.
his pulse went from "thready" to "no pulse". they applied the defibrillator shortly after they got the heart back started again.
the basic procedure is in the link i gave u.
"sensational" ... the guy nearly died.. and now must have another ablation. is he on the verge of death? no he is not. but, he must get this procedure completed... .and as we've seen from "The Monster" this procedure does not always work.
You said his heart stopped. Which wasn't true. That's all I'm pointing out. Holy hell.
Our conversation went like this:
jimmy: Christopher Columbus came to america by land flaccid: You know as little about maritime travel as you do about hockey jimmy: I know he did because he used a boat. Here is a link to what a boat is. edumacate urself lol flaccid: Boats aren't used for land travel, ergo he didn't travel by land jimmy: Fred 'crime dog' mcgriff and the 'thing' heard round the ... 'world'
Not sure why this is so unclear. I was only responding, the entire time, to your assertion that his heart stopped. Which it did not. Big difference between erratic rhythm and no rhythm. Had his heart stopped, it's pretty darn likely he'd be dead right now. Not sure if they keep the chemicals used to restart a heart in a hockey locker room.

guy, they just had a press conference about it. they went into immense detail about it.
the tip off when it first happened is that they did chest compressions before applying the defibrillator which is in the link i gave. if his heart was merely "racing" we would not have seen a hockey game cancelled. as we know "The MOnster" has battled a racing heart and had more than 1 ablation. no one ever cancelled an NHL game beceause his heart was racing.
the reaction of the bench and medical staff indicated to me an absolute emergency. had he not been treated immediately his heart probably would not restart and he was minutes away from death without competent/expert medical attention.
as i stated the Doc was using as abstract and oblique a term possible to protect the privacy of the player.
=( I simply want to stick to the facts and what the doctor involved actually stated rather than pushing speculation in order to sensationalize an already terrible story. Is that too much to ask? If so, I concede. Sure, it is entirely possible his heart did stop but I'd prefer that was reported by some sort of medical professional before blindly assumed.

i did stick to the facts.. they said "chest compressions then electro shockey thingie" when it happened.
which means his heart stopped.. otherwise.. it would've just been "eloctro shockey thingie" only as you have so eloquently pointed out in your previous posts.
