The UN leader insisted that there is no evidence to support this, and in fact, until the very last minute, when the first wave of US armies where already deployed in Iraq, coverage from CNN and BBC and major news organization still showed UN officials running around leaving Iraq in a hurry, insisting the absence of any evidence, but they are forced due to the impending war. Of course we know what happened there. The UN proved to be right, and as of this day, not a single WMD is found in Iraq, and Sadam is already dead.
Now flash forward almost a decade after. North Korea with its new leader Kim Jong Un is grabbing all the headlines with the continued nuclear tests it has been doing, the most recent one just this week, which caused an earthquake that was felt even in South Korea. Kim and the military leaders are clear about it, they have nuclear capability, and they have every reason to launch it at their "arch-enemies" the United States.
Yet, why is US silent about this. Why are we not using the military option to protect ourselves. It's not as if this is some rumor. North Korea has nuclear capacity, has the reason to strike the US, and has said many times that they will.
Why is the US not invading North Korea?
